Posts: 123 | Has anyone ever fished the Turtle Flambeau Flowage? Do you like the body of water? Have you seen giant fish in there? Who is a good guide for that lake?

Posts: 4343 Location: Smith Creek | Yes, yes, depends on your definition, Brian Long for muskies and Jeff Robl or Don Pemble for everything else.

Posts: 20219 Location: oswego, il | Pretty lake, has a low density but very fishable population of muskies, all sizes. I have seen a 50 there, seen a picture of a 57 in musky hunter. Good family lake, tons of small pike, nice smallies and walleyes. Be very very careful. Lots of stumps and they are massive. You would swear they were redwoods. You will enjoy this lake, just take it easy untill you know it.

Posts: 300 Location: Minocqua, WI | I bass fish it a ton all over but spend some time for muskies in September/October. Fun water and no shortage of good spots for all species. Low musky density for sure, but decent catchable numbers of middle 30's to low 40 inchers and have tangled with them quite a bit by accident with the bass gear (spinnerbaits, walk the dog tops, X-raps). Almost every year there seems to be a lucky one who will catch a 50 incher....... and they're definitely in there!

Posts: 54 Location: North Fork, Flambeau River | The TFF is a great body of water. Like the earlier posts, there is a little bit of everything in the lake, a few resorts to stay at, a nice campground on the north end (Lake of the Falls), and nice size muskies.

Posts: 682 Location: Sycamore, IL | X2 on hiring Brian Long. I had a chance to fish the TFF with guide Brian Long this past October....he really knows this water and not only put us on fish but was a pleasure to fish with. Highly recommended!

Posts: 99 | We own Donner's Bay Resort on the Flowage. Had several customers come in with nice fish this fall. There is not as much pressure as on some of the other area lakes. Lots of water to cover. Give us a call sometime and I'll try to help. If I figure out how to post a pic I'll put up a nice fish caught in late October. Marvin

Posts: 1 | I started fishing the TFF years ago and hired a guide named Bobby Orr. Since, I have come back regularly and continued to hire him. Friendly, fun and a hell of a fisherman and teacher. He knows that body of water very well and has taken me from a real beginner to what I would call pretty apt musky fisherman. He guides multi species now but still prefers chasing muskies. He gets my recommendation for not only that body of water but many in the area.

Posts: 410 Location: one foot over the line | My buddy and I fished it for a week last June. It was our first time on that water and with some good electronics and maps, I thought we did relatively decent. We didn't find alot of weeds but there was plenty of other structure to fish. Humps and points treated us nicely. The largest we boated was a 42 and i did dance with an upper 40's but could not seal the deal. If you have confidence in your electronics, you should be alright. We did play it safe in most of the areas boating around until we had it charted then we could pretty much run at will. Fun body of water and not much pressure.

Posts: 120 | TFF is awesome and gives a feeling of being very remote. More water than you can fish in a week thats for sure. Many great looking areas. Nice fish too.
