| This is a sad day for everyone in North America. I cannot believe that there are human beens capable of killing thousands of innocent people for no reason at all. These are animals and they should be put down right away.
The blood banks here in Ottawa are full and can't keep up with the number of people walking in to donate.
Our prayers and best wishes go to all Americans.
This is going to be the sadest Can-Am ever. I am heading out Thursday am and I hope we still have a lot of our American friends show up for the tournament.
I just saw the Afgan is under attack right now. I say to wipe them out and leave but a pile of ashes like the streets of NY.

| wife got briefed this afternoon before leaving her office not to answer any questions should they be asked by reporters as a company she deals w/ was headquartered in the World Trade Center + left this spring.... she doesn't understand why their dept. would be questioned but thought it very strange. I guess they will leave no stone unturned. I hate to ramble on but I enjoy life + hate to see others suffer + this really bothers me; reality is hard sometimes but must be accepted I guess. |

| I would like to offer my sincere condolescenses and prayers to anyone who may have had family, or friends hurt, killed or missing in this tragedy.
I do not profess to be publicly correct in such matters, and I have to admit that such actions infuriate the HE** out of me! These people perform these acts in the name of country or god... they have no god, don't deserve a country, and aren't even human in my opinion... they are gutless cowardly vermin with only hatred for a religion, and do not have one fraction of respect for human life or dignity. To coin a phrase from the movie "The Rock", I hope Bush has the cajones to identify those responsible, and "Bomb their a$$ back to the stone age!"
If the country where these "slugs" are hiding won't cough them up voluntarily, maybe Bush should re-activate a few of those battleship behemoths like the Missouri... outfit them to the rafters with cruise missiles, plant them right on their doorstep, and hammer them mercilessly with missile after missile, hour after hour, day after day, week after week, or month after month until they do give them up... or until there is not a living thing left within their border. These scum are the lampreys of the human world, and deserve everything that they get. The thousands that died or were injured in this premeditated senseless slaughter are owed nothing less!

| After watching all this unfold today, I have one question.
Why aren`t the cockpits of commercial airliners locked compartments? Seems to me there should be a steel door seperating the pilot and the controls from any lunatic who wants to push his way to the front of the plane. |

| Was working on a house today didn't find out til late this afternoon.What a sad day.Can't really find words to say how I feel.Girlfriend called called told me I better get gas as it was to go sky high. I live in small town Iowa and there was a line of cars that was unbelieveable.Some people where acting all fluster and pissy.Sickings me as we need to stick together in times like these.Gotta go but I love this country and the people who gave there to make it what it is and the people that will defend now.....I'am sad.Dennis Blume |

| Boy how things like a little transmission problem now seem small in comparison. I was dropping off my truck this morning when this whole thing hit the fan. Makes you sit back and thank god your family is alright.
My Prayers go out to those involved and hopefully the President will get justice for the American people.
I am glad all of you have come together to join hand in this discusion on our site. This whole thing makes muskie fishing seem trivial.

| Words cannot express the feelings I'm having with this attack on our own soil. I NEVER thought I would see the day that such an attack was possiable, my thoughts and prayers are with the people who perished and their loved ones that they leave behind and also our servicemen who will be called to do their duty. Having serverd, fought, been wounded and have killed in the service of my Country during a different time and place, let all of us as Americans stand behind are leaders so that this may NEVER happen AGAIN[:(]

| Hang tough, Chuck. I can't even imagine how you; a combat veteran, feel, but I CAN tell you the average sportsman visiting this site feels the same anger, confusion, pain, and sorrow you feel, if not so close to the bone.
I want to thank all of you for the heartfelt posts today. This thing is far from over, I fear. The reports of a truck stopped full of explosives just a few minutes ago causes no small worry; FBI is questioning the drivers...I hope we catch and severly punish the people responsible for this. Soon. |

| My thoughts, sympathies and prayers go out to all. Especially to those who lost their lives or were injured in this cowardly act. I just wish that I could honestly say that it was a surprise. I knew that sooner or later something like this was going to happen. I am flabbergasted by the sheer magnitude of it though.
These worthless cowards who send others to do their work must be brought to justice quickly and permanently. How they can justify killing tens of thousands of men, women and children, for any reason, is beyond me.
As much as I hate to say it, the United States as a whole country needs to worry about one thing...itself. We can''t continue to send billions of dollars to other countries, supply them with our military personel and weapons and continue to be shafted in the world marketplace. We must stand up as a nation for ourselves first. If that means cutting aid to other countries or closing our borders to foreign nationals then so be it.
It has done me good to read through these responses and see that others have the same feelings that I do. I purposely waited to read these until I had settled down just a bit. I only ask that you remember one thing before you pass judgement. If you go out there killing for the purpose of killing does that make you any better than them. Severly punish only those that are responsible and their cohorts who harbor them.
MAY GOD BLESS US AND OUR GREAT NATION. MAY HE COMFORT AND GUIDE US AND MAY HE BRING US ALL TOGETHER AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.

| The resolve of this country will not be broken. Besides the anger i felt, all i could do i look at my Son who is only 3 1/2 months old. Knowing lots of peoples sons and daughters died yesterday because of a group of cowardly people, my heart goes out to all of them. We will get through this! While my initial opinions of who is responsible point in one direcion, the United States will take the time to find out who really is responsible. Then there needs to be swift, hard and thorough punishment so no other sons and daughters need to die. Other countries need to help, step aside, or get run over when dealing with these terrorists. |

| It is an appalling fact that the worst events in human history have been a result of racial, ethnic or religious differences. It would seem that in our modern world these things should no longer matter and that we would treat our fellow human beings as we do our own family. It was equally horrific watching via satellite the expressions of joy & happiness on the faces of the Palestinian people when they learned of the events in the USA. This illustrates the real problems of our world. The leaders of Afghanistan destroy religious cultural symbols of other religions, arrest people who have different belief's than their own and hide terrorist's from persecution by those they have wronged.. People kill their neighbors because they have a different ethnic background. Some Americans would argue that the solution is to use our Military might to destroy them all by bombing them to cosmic dust or impose forced isolation upon their country by closing their borders. This would be just as barbaric as the act's we have witnessed, as innocent people would certainly suffer & die. They may be able to attack the American people, but they will never destroy our ideals or our country. We enjoy the most freedoms of any society in the world, yet America is a homogenous mix of all the world's people. What did they attack? The terrorist's attacked what they saw as symbols of our power. The power of America is not these symbols, but our will as free people. Sure we have our own problems and at times there is racial and ethnic violence incidents that happen in America. But we also have laws that make the punishment even harsher for ethnic or racial hate crimes. The key to our future is our children & teaching them that hatred of race , ethnic back ground and religion is wrong. Unfortunately there are other countries where it is standard practice to teach the opposite.
The solution to terrorism is universal cooperation and action by the countries of the world to identify and punish those who sponsor, plan, execute or participate in any way in these act's of violence against innocent people.
[:((] One of my coworkers- Shawn Nassaney was on one of the hijacked flight's, I cannot find words to express how I feel at this moment. We pray for all the victims of this horrible act and those brave Firefighter's, Police Officer's, Doctor's, Nurse's and others who placed themselves in harm's way to help their fellow human beings. [:praise:]
To all the perpretrator's of this crime against the American People: If it were in my power- I would gladly pull the trigger that would end your miserable existance. [:bigsmile:]

*almost forgot....this morning here in Va. an IDIOT called in + said he had a bomb on an 18 wheeler then got back in his truck + heaed back up the ramp......FBI nailed him befor he got 5 miles away....this guy was an American...I do feel though there are quite a few left here on the east coast + that they will keep low for awhile. |

| According to Mancow (local DJ) the government has evidence for a second wave of attacks planned for this Saturday. Doesn’t seem to be getting much press time, but just in case be warned.
Secondly, if I were to get some gas masks for my family, are the half masks OK or are the full face masked ones needed? Also do I need the one for organic gases or acid gases? Thirdly, do the water filters you can get at the sports stores filter anthrax? Thanks for the help; I’m not as paranoid as I sound.

| Benjamin Netanyahu is on Fox News live now + is briefing a congressional group on terrorism + HE KNOWS HIS STUFF....surely they will hear him + TAKE HIS ADVICE- unless this stuff is dealt w/ now, we will experience more at a greater loss w/ more powerful weapons as time goes on + he knows what he is talking about having to deal w/ this stuff at his front door for years. As far as masks go the full mask offers the best protection but you must have filters etc. + more than likely by the time you realized you were being hit your eyes would be closing....Netanyahu is trying to convince the panel that if fixed now the problem will MUCH easier to deal w/ if ever it should come up again.;BEFORE the groups obtain weapons of mass destruction. If you must get a mask check the Army/Navy stores but personally I''d not worry too much. Our country needs to NOW forget the "legalistic" attitude toward these "terror cells" + show we mean business....in the long run countries will think twice before harboring this type.
*Va. awhile back built 2 maximum security prisons; "Red Onion" +"Wallens Ridge" to house the worst of the worst + the prisoners are from diff. parts of the country....they scream about the treatment they recieve; would be a good place to bring those they already have caught....they are located in a sparsely populated + mountainous region in the western part of the state + plenty of room there.
*also- forgot...they are having us watch for odd packages at the P.O.;hopefully they will catch anything before they make it this far. As for a mask the most likely attack would be in gas/vapor form...heard they caught a guy outside Chicago...Ali is on now...time to head back.... |

| PERFECT....+ it is up to US to stand behind our leadership + see this thing through. At the risk of abuse I will say this much---> instead of playing "grab butt" + making a donkey stall out of the White House the past administration should have dealt w/ this over the past 8 years; but NOW is the time, let''s do it right. Israels'' past Prime Minister(Benjamin Netanyahu) had a live hearing yesterday on tv + we need to listen to him....they know these type + we can learn much from the Israelies. One major point was the fact we need to rid ourselves of the "legalities" when dealing w/ terrorism + treat them as war criminals. Though FAR from being perfect myself I firmly believe God will protect the innocent + bring justice to those responsible as we turn to Him as individuals + as a nation + continue to do the right thing. I''m still finding this attack hard to believe + will never forget; nor will any who have been there to visit. The attack on Washington also holds bitter memories as I have family that live + work there + have spent a lot of time there in the past. At least one plane was taken down by HEROS who knowing they would die saved many in the process. I want my little son to someday understand what happened, why + to stand firm in the values handed down over the generations + if he should choose to someday serve as has every generation of my family, then I want him to do so w/ pride + RESOLVE. May future conflicts have the purpose, intensity + togetherness that we have now. Today is the day to start over + begin anew...since this began things haven''t been the same around here + probably won''t for a while; each day I have to start over but time will heal + I look forward to begin to get back to my old self again! |

Bragg & Camp LeJune,two Companies of the 82nd Airborne were moved three days ago and a Co. of 2nd Force Recon left in a BoxCar yesterday,ahead of the Marine 26th Expeditionary Force.My guess is Garcia Island off of India for a stageing area.Let There Be No Mercy!!!
