Thanks for the kind words, guys.

I haven't made any in plastic this year yet, but I have some stock left and I'm going to make a few more cranks from it. I'm also trying the PVC board and trying to acquire the sign board material, which is supposed to be superior to the PVC board.

I'm looking forward to building and getting my spray booth fired up so I can paint all winter.

Fatfingers are you going to be selling your baits or just making them for yourself and friends?

Fatfingers those are beautiful! I love that foil! That one looks like the paints are wet and running together! Haven't seen that before. Can't wait to see the 07's!

I figured I would try to jump onto the big bait bandwagon.....................gonna try a few new things out here on my local waters.
14" body length (17.5" counting lip), 1/4" lexan lip, thru wire construction, 3 8/0 Mustads. Hopefully I can give it a run this Saturday to see how it does.

Scott, I don't really make enough to sell partly because of time constraints and partly because I'm often building different configurations and trying new stuff with size, color, depth, etc. I'm just in it for the fun mostly.

It shouldn't be a problem for anyone though. There are so many fine builders out there that do sell. If I knew then what I know now, I'd have spent all my money on the baits from the basement guys...Higher quality, better paint, colors, etc. Like most guys, I spent a small fortune on commercial baits and some weren't and still aren't of the quality available by the basement crews.

Thanks, Tigger.

Beautiful work, Nate. Looks like it will move some water and get a lot of attention from the real hogs down there.

Fat fingers those foils are sweet. You inspired me and made me try some. As for the fakebaits, to those who asked is a picture glued on then airbrushed blended in. No different then commercial baits like gapens polish perch. I prefer wood baits more then pea foam or plastic. just got back from fishing anchor bay area and buddy and I went 8 pike and 6 follows from pike. The fakebait sucker pattern rocked, as well as the benny bait named from my son. I wish I new how to upload video because that's what the fakebait sucker is on.

Thanks, muskyhound.

Looks like you had a ball with the Northerns. I have a place nearby with a nice population of them and they are a real pleasure.

I really like the photofinished bait you did. I tried something similar with a Shad:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I'd like to try it again with a Shad photo but with more of a Shad-shaped bait.

Nate that Wally is cool. It does look like it would take some time to make, but awesome work.

Snax I changing my mind to the mini bass, instead of the Crappie. Do you have a smallmouth pattern yet?

I've done them before. Here's an example. They will be much better now as my airbrushing skills have come along way since then.

It is amazing what some of you guys are doing with these baits. They look more like artwork than they do fishing lures.

I finished a sunfish and a white bass tonight. I got some glass eyes in the mail today. I have never used them before. I have paint all over my finger tips !!!.........LOL. Those little buggers are hard to hold! I don't think the little brush method is going to work . I tried to airbrush them but I can tell it will take some time to learn the madness! They keep blowing onto the floor. Hope everyone has a good holiday. I love seeing all the baits you guys make! Keep it up!

John

Tigger, I thought you were getting better with each week that goes by. Now I think you're getting better by the hour.

Those two are both knockouts.

Good God man!!!! That is just ridiculous!!!!

Next time someone asks me where they can find a bunch of super realistic color patterns, I will just direct them to this thread.
