| Hey guys, NY is a mess. However the calm is amazing. People are really acting in the best possible manner. It is an unexplainable feeling to go out side and see the two buildings gone from the skyline. As soon as it is safe, I will walk down to the hospital to donate blood, but with car bombs going off in front of hotels and such it is best to stay at home. There is still a really uneasy feeling here, and hearing and feeling the colapse is hard to explain. The magnitude of these events is truly so disheartening. It looks like a war zone, inches of dust covering the street and paper and such. It is a day I could never forget and hope to never relive...Ben |

Staying calm is the best aproach!Here are a few things you should do if your at home;fill your bathtub and other containers with water incase there is a shortage due to broken water lines, over usage or contamination,Stock up on can goods,price's may go out of site in a short time,fill your vehicle with gas while your out!I'm assuming that you are living in NY. | Good idea Larry.....I''ll run out + do the same! Just called my cousin who lives/works in the D.C area + his wife said he is on his way home though it will take a LONG time w/ traffic the way it is. He often flies out of Dulles cross country/overseas on business + I wanted to make sure he was on ground. The "Afghanistan Teliban" is having a telephone video to say they had no part in this. I still can''t fathom the degree of a mind that would do this; we are experiencing what Israel goes through + I sincerely hope we will continue to back them as the nation who turns their back on Israel will be judged....no group can tell us who to give aid to!!
***NWR...just got the packett from Fed Ex....thanks a million!! As I sit here + look at the pics. I am deeply saddened by todays'' events; the pics of you guys fishing + having fun is why we are what we are today + today part of that was taken away. The girl who delivered the packet said they would be off possibly tomorrow as the airports are closed + it just dawned on me that the post office would be less hectic as all mail now will have to go by truck. thanks again, Rik |

| It`s amazing how the Taliban can say they had nothing to do with it, but they harbor Bin Laden and he in turn calls the ruler of Afghanistan "A GOD" and the true ruler of Moslems.
Just recently Bin Laden was video taped saying "The victory in Yemen is just the beginning." Referring to the bombing of the Cole. And to expect more good things to come.
Well I predict a few good things are going to happen to him and the country that hides the coward. |

| I just came from my roof, and cannot explain what has taken place here in NY. I am about a mile or less away is my best guess. The two largest buildings are gone from the skyline. The smoke and silt that covers my roof and neighborhood...Honestly, I am jewish and feel for any kind of loss of life in Isreal for either side, as I have family there. It is an unfortunate situation. But I repeat, any loss of life I feel for. How can a goup or person justify what took place today. The life lost today, is comparable to a full war. It is truly a horrible day, having felt and seen it I am just in shock...Ben |

| I live less than a mile from Mitchell Field. Not a sound. All roads that run past the airport are closed.
Meanwhile, they are dancing on the West Bank.
Are we really the most evil nation in the world?

Hello again, everyone..
Let's keep our collective cool, and see what develops.
I would be willing to bet that President Bush will not dissappoint anyone looking for a strong response to today's attacks. I am just as angry as the rest of you, I just am not certain yet with whom...and I am reluctant to blame anyone until we are certain who did this.
Of course, every person in the world that sees the US as an enemy for whatever reason will celebrate the moment. All those poor folks on the airplanes and the ground...could have been any of us on a business trip..CIVILIAN aircraft used as a weapon against civilian targets...
In the next few days we will be clearly able to see our enemies, and our friends. So starts a new era in our country, with a new regard for terrorists and what they can, and will do to forward their cause. The inevitable result is we will all be slightly less 'free'untill this type of threat is removed from our world.
Lunch is over, and I have to deliver a boat.

| Bin Laden's Associate who was responsible for the bombing of the US Embassy in Tanzania 3 years ago is on trial TOMORROW in a federal court building near the World Trade Center. I am not pointing fingers, but this can't be merely a coincidence..........
Palestinians in their own country were said to be on the street celebrating, chanting "God is Great" and handing out candy.

| I`m sitting here with my wife and daughter. There are bags packed and clothes piled up waiting to be packed because we are going "up north" on vacation muskie fishing next week. But we had to stop. It just doesn`t seem like the happy time that it should be. It seems wrong for some reason. I should be whistling a happy tune and checking over the boat and trailer....but I just can`t bring myself to do it. Nothing feels very happy today. I immagine that I`m not in the boat alone.[:((] |

| Strange how things change. Back in the early 70s I had hair to my shoulders and would have done anything to stay out of the jungles in Vietnam. But after what I saw today, if somebody showed up at my front door and asked me to go, I`d kiss my wife and daughter, grab my 7'08 and be on the first plane out of here.
Nothing can justify what has happened. I don`t care what we`ve done in the mid-east. We aren`t responsible for their problems and shouldn`t be slaughtered because of them. They chant "God is great." Yes He is. But He doesn`t think what happened today is a good thing. No matter which God you pray to.

The aim of terrorists is inpart to change our lives, deprive us of our freedoms and make us feel fear! If you don't go fish....or don't go to the grocery store, or stop flying on airplanes then THEY WIN!
I have no doubt that the might of the US Military will destroy these enemies, be they foreign OR domestic....but even when they are gone if we live in fear of what they have done, they still win.

| Beav, Slamr is right; go enjoy your vacation but I do know what you mean by it will be different....it will be different from now on. I only hope that from here on out this country will not refrain from hunting down those who do these things as restraints have been put in place in the past.
Also what is sad is the kids in the West Bank area are being raised in hatred... many were small + have no concept other than what they are taught. Somalians did the same thing as they dragged a naked U.S. soldier down a street...why that country is still on the face of the earth I still don't understand as we should have gone in + served up a king size helping of kick butt justice........ |
