Is it bad that as I read this I can't help but realize I have done about 75% of these things?

I just hope going #2 over the side isn't one of them.

Entertaining thread. Those that are bothered by calling them 'skis should get in touch with Al Lindner and admonish him for doing so (in the old infisherman videos). Or if Al calls,at least refuse his offer to jump in the boat and throw a few casts. On the other hand I always got the feeling he thinks we're an opinionated pain...ya think?!

Or we should just not.....and just have our opinion that it sounds retarded, how about that? Nobody said anything about going out and "admonishing" anyone for doing so. To me it sounds dumb, plain and simple, didn't say anyone had to change now did we. How about it's just another internet thread with a bunch of guys just having fun......enough said.

Who isn't entitled to fun??? To some, Musky fishing is their life, and to me, it's my life and it's fun.

Reminds me of the movie Stripes. Any of you guys call me Francis, I'll kill ya. And I don't like nobody touchin' my tackle. So keep your meat-hooks off. If I catch any of you guys in my stuff, I'll kill ya...lighten up, Francis. OK...I'm gonna hit the water with HammSkie of the Skie Patrol and maybe catch some 'eyes with a (hawg)wobbler.

So, ten or twelve of us are sitting around the parking lot of the Hiawatha Motel, just hanging around the boats after fishing this past June. The discussion (the beers probably helped) somehow gets to "really, really" having to go #2 during a fishing event and the limitation on what and where is allowed. So, this one angler, (I won't tell unless you make me) begins to describe, in incredible detail, just how similar the round opening in his forward baitwell is to a toilet seat (you know, the one where walleye guys put their minnows) and how you can be sitting right there doing your thing, right in the middle of a hundred boats waiting for an ease-out and nobody is going to notice. Then he says you can just keep the pump running and eventually the thing will get cleaned out. But, then we all had to leave because it was time to go to DINNER???? Marty Forman

It's weird, I have been in hundreds of parking lot / boat / dinner table / bonfire talks with all sorts of fisherman. Some how the conversation always takes a turn to adventures in bowel movements.

I have to go with complaining in the boat. The one that gets me is when every few minutes I hear a huge sigh from the back of the boat. On that same note my oldest brother was complaining to my other older brother and myself about not catching any fish during our trip to Canada(his first one) a few weeks ago. This was on day 2 and he had just filled a 5 gallon bucket full of yellow perch. We told him where to go to catch smallmouth, but he said he didn't want to catch bass he wanted to catch walleye. Just so happens that earlier that evening my brother and I were muskie fishing and had dozens of walleye following and swiping at our lures in a narrows. We told him to go fish it, but he didn't want to boat the 20 minutes to the spot because there was "only" three hours of daylight left. So here he was complaining in the cabin about not catching any walleye mere hours after we told him where to go because they were aggressive and stacked in an area. I'm sure we both had Kodak moment looks on our face.

I'm not gonna cry if people call them skis but I will secretly hate you. Not that you care. I bet nobody told Al that calling them skis sounds dumb. If some did he would stop!

I do know of one guy some years age who did use the minnow bucket, but was in such a panicked hurry he forgot to remove the minnows first. Still has us crying in laughter every time its brought up.

When someone walks up to my boatat the boat launch and ask me what I'm fishing for. They can't miss the big net on the boat, and when I tell them musky the say there musky in this lake? Every sail boat that wants to sail around or close to boat when I'm casting. If you drove a fishing boat up on to another fishing boat I hope you know them, or you will have a new nickname.

I hate when people think they have to say "c'mon musky" while their having a slow musky fishing day or trying to entice some musky's to bite/follow. Those little comments most always puts a huge jinx on the day. I also can't stand it when an hour or two on the musky hunt and someone says, "well there just not going to bite today what-a going to do" and they have this negative attitude for the rest of the trip.

Is that the same as when I get angry and start cussing and threatening the fish or is that acceptable?

How about just plain taunting like in the Search For The Holy Grail movie. "If you do not bite, I will taunt you yet another time." Or "I will fart in your general direction"?

While fishing Mille Lacs a few years ago my brother-in-law had to go #2 while in the middle of big bite window (we put 5 in the boat) in the middle of the night. I said just go over the side. So he did. The next morning when I was walking past the boat I was a TERD right on the R of Ranger on my boat!!!!!!! He wiped it off kind of and said the rain on the way back to SE WI would clean the rest it off. We got home there was still a streak on the "R" and he never cleaned it off! It remained there until the following spring when I had the boat detailed because I was not going to clean up another man's poop! My boat is now called "The Toilet".

If you POO on anther guys boat CLEAN IT OFF!

The infishermen guys always look for some buzzword to catch on. I mean, they cant even call a spinnerbait a flippin spinnerbait. Its a "safety pin spinner".
Next time I am in Thornes I will be sure to ask where they stock the safety pin spinners.
