It sounds like some kind of equation? Don't have the book with me right now to see what equation it may be. The only one I remember is the F + L + P = S

I also remember Dick talking about the common denominator between all good fisherman and women being that the all mastered the fundamentals so maybe success = fundamentals?

This clue has nothing to do with the book; the formula the Riddler offers, you need to give a good look. If you take anything times two, subtract or add one, what do you get? Come on, this is FUN!

Norm, you have it, you have it, you do, now find what the Riddler wants, what he wants you to do! Odd number for what, that's the question now! Go back a few clues and define, good answer, gee, wow!

Look for the answer in the ones that won, then take the opposite, and begin the fun of finding the number, numerical, that is, that will find the winning object and prove you to be a Scavenger Riddle Wiz!

The answers to the clues so far:
Red
Hooks
DDD
3D in Chicago, 2 D in Esox Angler and Musky Hunter
DD
Dick Pearson
NW Angle
Doug Johnson
Betsy Pearson
Muskies On The Shield, the book which I have personally signed my Dick!
Odd number

My answer is 11 - There were 11 answers leading to this one. 11 is an odd number.

I will guess the magic # is 3

Three primary Colors
Three hooks on a treble hook
DDD
Dick, Doug and Betsy

Seems to be a pattern.

The answer Norm had was a good one, OK? Let's look at that answer and the other right ones and let's make some hay! Odd number you say, what has one of those. The answer, my friends, is in front of your nose!!

OK, I'll guess again...

FIRST(S) is my guess then I will attempt to explain. Or maybe '15' on a calender(answer in end)

Red-'Primary'- Which has a KEY place among all that guessed correctly

I am not certain if you are looking for a FIRST or Primary for hooks, but could link together FIRST hooks, then Red hooks

As in the DDD which was FIRST and 'Primary' then the DD came along as opposite or as a similar.

Dick Pearson which I believe to be FIRST and/or Primary then as opposites Betsy Pearson or Doug Johnson as similars.

As far as the correlation between NW Angle and/or Doug Johnson were as similars as above, or if it was part of the hunt.

Then, Muskies on the Shield THE BOOK which was FIRST and/or Primary then Similar or opposite is 'MUSKIES ON THE SHEILD, THE VIDEO, DVD'! Final answer!

Tomarrow the '15th'(which you may of been looking for) of December is when they start mailing out the VIDEO's to the public I believe, because I ordered one.

Close, or have I barked up the wrong tree?
