Posts: 1996 Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | If we are tying a knot to a steel leader, not a flourocarbon or sevenstrand, maybe what is attached would be some sort of glide bait that would tend to function best on such a leader-maybe an undertaker (only thing I can think of with an Iron Maiden reference).

Posts: 32959 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Sponger is right, but backwards you see, if he looks the OTHER way, he will likely indentify me.
Leader is corect, make sure that get's on the 'object of interest' list. Shep, I have to start thinking harder...

| Hee hee hee...NOW I see! Perhaps one might engage in seeking a post containing pertinent info. on the use of WIRE line...it's cold here...are we getting WARM????? *IRON Silk line maybe... Edited by Sponge 2/26/2003 11:08 AM | |||

Posts: 32959 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The brand doesn't matter, the object sure might, it may get you along the way to seeing the light!
Sponge, you are thinking...

| You daggone right I'm thinking! I'm thinking about heading to Wally Mart to get a Buns of Steel video soon to increase me ability to sit here longer and think up more stuff...w/in a week I hope to have as strong a bu++age as I do a brain! A strong bu++, paired w/ an equally strong mind, should allow one to sit for longer periods of time, thus enabling him/her to devote more physical/mental energy to the tasks at hand...I may even spring for the much heralded Thigh Master in order to increase me odds of winning this "mother of all riddles", Riddler! | |||

Posts: 5874 | Hitched up, am I, to what we next seek, you couldn't chew through me if you tried for a week! Guess "I" am a leader. What we seek next is LINE.

Posts: 32959 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Again Shep and Sponge are correct. Line, Leader. Add that to the list. It will now be a bit more difficult to find what you seek. As closer we get this will be no place for the meek. Here is a new clue, this object we need, for the trail to the prize the answer it will seed. One end or the other, to either you look, keep right on guessing, write your answers in a book, none of that will help until you are able to NAME---the next object you seek in this mindbending game...

| One might look from one end to the other if he/she were reading a BOOK, perhaps even a LOG BOOK...RESULTS and other info. are placed there...one should LOOK this way and that at an INTERSECTION, or STOP sign...I must be losing contact w/ the mother ship...I feel my mind beginning to slip...if I should lose it before we are done, I'd like 1 more Krabby Pattie on a toasted wheat bun.... **FLASHLIGHT/HEADLAMP or such enables one to see... | Dude, you may be onto something...a post on snaps or SPLIT RINGS that attach a bait to the leader to the line which hopefully is tied to the spool which is attached to the reel which is attached to the rod which is attached to your hands whach are attached to your arms which are attached to your shoulders which are attached to your upper torso which is attached to your waist which....BOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!___________________________________ | |||

| Blew me mind earlier and had to regroup...perhaps a post containing stuff on the relationship between the line, leader; whether to use a snap, a swivel or a split ring...take over Shep, as I got some cajun yard bird in the oven, some green snap peas and garlic potatos simmering, it's snowing outside, schools will be closed tomorrow, and I need to recoup that which has been lost in this traumatic afternoon of mental anquish.... | |||

| LOL...keep singing while I run upstairs and grab some spoons to play...hopefully Worrall will soon tell us if we are sinking or swimming. Right now I'm humming the old spiritual "Nobody Knows The trouble I've Seen"; earlier I threw the spongettes home made biscuits out the window for bird food...she found out, and now I must pay.... | |||

Posts: 32959 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | OK, let's break with the usual. No rhymes in this clue: Around one corner, then around another corner then straight to another corner straight to another corner to another, then another. There were a couple warm guesses, and Shep has the progression NAILED...find one, then another, then another, using those found to locate the new, and the prize is yours!! You must NAME the object we now seek. As in Proper Name!!

| ||
| Perhaps something SIX SIDED??? Proper name...Shep....where are you? Metatarsus comes to mind but...so does Box Turtle... | |||

Posts: 32959 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I am an item, a piece, a device. My proper name and brand named here will suffice. Look to both ends of the stuff on your list, don't look any further, or I will be missed!!!!

Posts: 32959 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I said to remain with the items we found, quit sniffing around else where like a smelly bloodhound. I am on one end or the other of the items we see, the ones that eventually will lead you to me! You must not only figure out what is my claim to fame, you also must identify my given brand name.
