Grandma or shallow raider twitched early in the year and spinnerbaits in the thick weeds. I fish with guys who don't move away from blades, rubber, and topwater and I think it costs them some fish.

Kinda funny just how often the Suick has been mentioned in this thread.

I don't fish them near often enough. That needs to change.

Tomorrow...

4 fish in the bag in one day a few weeks back on a 7" Suick. I never leave the dock without one!

Fished the St. Germain tourny last weekend, pounded my new favorite Sand Cats and saw nothing. Decided to go to the ole black/nickel Rizzo Whiz and the Crappie Muskie Treat, all hell broke loose. Well, maybe not all hell, but I at least saw a couple of fish and caught a couple Northerns.

Crane baits always locate fish and get strikes, so versatile. Hellhound, since my last Manta snapped off.

I don't even own one! I guess that's next on my list...

The old 10" Suick is still one of my go to baits. Not many days go by without one getting wet.

I've caught and seen more fish with the L&L Exciter than any other bait over the years. My cousin designed it when he was in high school. Black with a red nose was deadly on LOTW. You can only find the excited through mailorder now, and from my understanding it doesn't match up with the old ones. I've hooked into fish the last couple years on one that's been painted over and over by me since i was about 13. It doesn't work well unless its had 5 or so casts to soak up some water. I used to soak it in the livewell all day!

Suick, Bobbie. giant scamper, hawg wobbler, mud puppy, Mepps musky killer, pikie minnow. Grandma (predecessor to the jake). Never caught one on a cisco kid but it still got thrown/trolled my last time out. Daredevil also in the never category for muskies but it STILL catches pike. Cant figure that one out either.

The old wooden Magic Maker is still one of my favorite to throw and watch. I've caught more fish on blades lately but that's because I was still getting good action on them. MM is gonna get wet this fall though.
