Yeah... Heard that too. I actually told one guy this:

"Okay, so a muskie eats once every few days, maybe one fish, and probably not a walleye. And you eat how many for your Friday night fish fry, every single week?"

Needless to say he was NOT happy.

In green bay I was asked, "is this salt water or fresh water?"
I thought the guy was joking then he asked "are there sharks in here." I jokingly responded, "yah only nurse sharks though." Then I looked up only to see he was dead serious.

You must have been talking to Mr. Obvious from The Bob and Tom Show! That guy doesn't have a clue.

Ive been asked if I catch a fish with a buzzbait in his mouth to give it back to him.....and this guy was dead serious. I told him I would be on the lookout for that fish. He thanked me. Needless to say the search still continues.....

I liked to ask guides what kind of knot they used and seemed like everyone had thier favorites. When I am fishing people ask me if I catch anything on large baits,I then either pull out a pounder or a # 13 tail and start tossing em and say nope I use em for the work out! I laugh when I get asked what do i need to start musky fishing.I tell them 1 million dollars, severe brain damage and willingness to forget everything else in your life! LOL

I was standing in the airport in Minneapolis with my Frabill Big Game and a guy with a Texas accent who was next to me in line asked out of the blue, "Do people consider you to be an overly optimistic person?"

Some even procede to tell me that every muskie caught should have their guts ripped out and thrown back in the lake...

20 minutes into our guide trip, and after 3 follows, One guy ask's me if these fish really eat at the boat? I proceeded to show the 2 how to figure 8 wide and deep. A 36" came out from under the boat and ate my crank bait.

His next comment was, "You staged That"

It's the same usual questions that I always seem to get. Most of the time it's 2 at a time like I don't understand what they are asking me the first go round. I don't even bother saying much to people anymore because it just isn't worth it. I tried at first because I thought I could make people understand or at the very least appreciate it. Yeah, I failed most of the time.

You mean you don't always catch them when you go out and fish? Why would you do that? What's the point? Well what do you do with them? You put them back?! Why?!!" Don't you eat them?

The last one is my favorite. Anytime I mention fishing I always get asked if I eat them. What is it? Grocery shopping for Pete's sake?! I mean c'mon my 5 year old nephew gets it why can't they??!

lmao thats awesome...I usually get asked "What do those things eat??" My response is generally "Whatever the F they want!!"

Maybe we should start spreading the rumor that they like to target erratic, fast moving, bright colored objects, like kids on tubes and jet skis.

If there's going to be bad info out there, we might as well have a little bit of it work in our favor.

Last spring my son and I fished a walleye tournament. I have my muskie guide service logo on my truck. While waiting in line to launch the boat a guy from another truck yells what do muskie taste like. I paused a few seconds and said like a limit of 30" walleye. He was speechless and than said oh I guess you got me. I almost fell out of the truck laughing.

How far up the lake can a guy fish with out hitting anything?

%$#^ that was a monster...why did someone invent %$# Catch & Release man..that was a monster an I have to let it go ^%$#.

How do you expect me to throw at structure I can't see in the day time to try an get a fish? &^%$ .....then expect me to go do it in the dark? ALONE! Carzy man.

Hey MT...what bar do I have best chance of scoring some ^%$# in round here. (He said while rubbing his wedding ring with guilt)

So do you ever use sunfish for lures? Man they have some pretty rad colors on em.

Where is the nearest strip club man?

You just gotta zoom over to that &^% island so I can take a dump RIGHT NOW! Pleasez will ya? ^%$#2 Pleasez!!

Have you @#$% ever met Ozzy man?

Those &^%$#@ get any closer I'm going to call a cop! (Oh really!)

Do your dogs like to fish? (WHAT?)

I can not reel that fast....it hurts an I can't even wonder a fish can swim that fast...I just won't do it.

Have you ever heard of that one fishen guy has a tv show? Well on TV I heard him an pals says we should fish the weeds an rocks an wind an islands an shores and everything shallow an out deep to get bites on Vermilion.? What do you think?

Why do you have us using these topwater thingys out here in middle of nowwhere at night?

How many times have you fish this spot man? Its like the coolest place I ever ever seen...WOW! It is like just FISH ON BABY!
: )

We want to fish where that one guy on tv got that ^%$# big fish on that new ^%$# lure man. Do you know the place I talkn bout man?

Can we go to fish that one island in that bay by that one #%$# resort we stayed at one time when we fishen for walleyes an had a different ^%$# guide that one year we first me ya.? Can you help do that?

&^%$# you hooked me!! YOU &^%$#2 &^%$#! God ^%$# #$%^ &^%$3!!! What the ^%$# hell ^%$# were you ^%$# thinking??? (Man to wife after she nailed him with a 10 inch jake.)

You ever hook a ^%$# muskie then eat it? ^%$#@ I really would think that would be fun to feed the whole resort. I would really love to do that...I never get anything.

I had the fish dialed in and so I was bringing guys I grew up with out to catch their first musky. We didnt have access to a boat but could smash bull dogs all over a reef out infront of us from the end of a T dock. A ski boat pulls up to the dock next to us pulling a huge round floaty with 10 little girls between the ages of 8 and 12, and one little boy maybe 10.

The big raft floats infront of us and 5 or 6 little girls jump out and paddle it away from the dock. We thank them and my buddy shoots his heli dog out of the reef, He was new and was forgeting to figure 8 at the end of some of his casts and the last thing i wanted to do was be a drag and nag him. He lifts it clear of the water and a mid forties fish luanches from the water like a rocket grabs this dog maybe a full foot in the air. Since no hook set happened the fish shakes its head twice, teeth gleaming in all their glory and flops back in the lake. As this is happening screams of shear terror echo across the lake as the flock of little girls flee from the water like jaws just snatched one of them up. As they are sprinting down the dock like their hair is on fire my buddy is just standing there with his mouth open like he just witnessed the Lords return.

Bout the time ive got the tears wiped from my eyes and hes told me to shut up with a sullen look on his face I hear THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP as the little boy comes running down the dock with a 202 zebco combo in his hand. He has hes been running so long his line is wraped around the end in the worlds greatest birds nest.

He hits the end of the dock and says "Can I fish with you guys???"
