Not guide or Captain. Great season, curious where you are fishing generally? MN ? St Claire? Also, if you put in 37 "full days" what is a full day to you hours wise? 10? 15? 8?
Just to put things in perspective.

Those type of #s, ha - not MN for sure - your dreaming ... most likely a very lightly fished body of water or St. Claire.

Actually it was almost an unbelievable year and I give all the credit to the fisheries and people I was lucky enough to know who let me in on it. A less seasoned guy might let some like this go to their head when in fact many of you reading this could post the same #s or more if they had been the only one turned on too. To answer your question, it's a rare day that I'm not on the water from sunup to sundown and with those kind of numbers is obvious theres no searching and every second is precious when the bite happens. Far and away the best bite is just after the open with 10-15 fish days, same with a different body of water starting labor day, but only for a couple weeks or so.

A really good year despite a low number of fish caught. 5 in my boat with 3 of those being mine. Got my PB this year at 52" which made the whole year a success. I figure 25 days on the water, but probably only average less than 4 hours a trip. I saw more fish this year than ever before.

10 fish in 13 days so far. Most days were 6 to 8 hours. Biggest fish was a 44. This was a slightly better than typical year for me.

All fishing was done in Indiana. I have not been on any of the three N. Webster area waters this year (so far).

I had 58 fish over 30" caught from my boat this season. No idea how many days but I think I fished around 400 hours. I caught 40 myself and guests/tournament partners caught the balance. Had 2 over 50 during a week long trip to MN and also managed a 49-51 from Vilas Co.

I posted a thread like this a while back and it got.... Interesting.

I only boat a couple a year, and I put in maybe 40 hours or so a season. I also fish a very low population lake (fish are big though, so it's a fair trade).

Boated 7... 6 pures, 1 tiger, in my first season. Boated my PB tiger and pure. I was out 8 times in my boat, and probably 10 more in friends' rigs. I have no idea what is a good or bad year, but I look forward to finding out!

Northern WI between May 26th and October 25th 115 muskies in my boat; I caught 86. 3 were over 48" mark. Only fished 10 days in October. 2 days were a tournament and 6 were guide trips.

49.00-49.75 1
46.00-48.75 6
43.00-45.75 7
40.00-42.75 24
34.00-39.75 64
30.00-33.75 5
<30.00" 8
Total 115
Avg Fish Length 37.59

I know it seems crazy but it definitely helped that we boated lots of 35-38". Kept the average size up. Let the criticism begin... but its legit. Began filming June 15th and I have around 72 netted fish on video and pictures of about 97 of them from this year. I dont know if ill ever top this year... I dont know that I will have the time! But it was awesome. Congrats to all the big fish entrants! Lot of nice fish boated this year! Good luck to all in 2013!

Fished 8 days also so maybe about 60-70 or so hours and caught 3. 20 hours a fish with the biggest being 44" is pretty sad.

Last summer I fished [muskies] 18 to 20 times, resulting in 20 catches [for the boat], of which 11 were mine. Most of my outings were half-days. Three outings yielded 3 to 4 fish each, so there were obiously some skunked days too.

This was my sixth year fishing muskies somewhat seriously. Up until this year, 43" was the longest musky I had caught or netted. Sad, right? This year I caught two and netted another five bigger than that. Eleven is also my personal best for a season.

Tim, I heard from Paul P you also caught a nice ski that attempted to murder a baby duck and it's momma. Quite a story!

I spent about 12 total days muskie fishing in Minnesota. Was busy with some health stuff and missed a few weekends.
What made this the best year ever was that both my sons caught their first muskies, Michael in July at Inguadona and Matthew in August on Leech. I was happy to net both fish. Had my last October and November of coaching wrestling so that'll open up some more time next year.

2012 was a tough year for me.Storm Chasing in the spring every year keeps me off the water during that time, with only limited time March-June.This year's hot temps kept me off even more.May 20th was the cut-off last season with water hitting 80*. Was on the water appx 240hrs,26 boated,107 follows,5 lost, and pulled away from at least 20 fish on my home lake that were mid 30's or smaller that had followed baits.(trying to preserve my locals to be big boys ) Fished in 3 states,6 bodies of water, and largest at 50 1/2".

Stats. No one cares about data reliability, accuracy or validity anymore. Find me a fellow/gal who can run a multi-variate linear regression on a white board and I will buy him or her a case of beer.
