Gotta be careful with modifying boats like that with home-made decks. Sure..they make fishing out of the boat a lot nicer, but...in turn, those decks raise the boat's center of gravity. Keep it safe...no fish is worth loosing life and limb for...no matter the fish's size...

49.5" I used a complex formula of the width of your fingers and extrapulated that across the entire fish. I had to guess at your finger width, using mine the fish was 67" long. Seeing that you are half the size of me, I figured the fingers would be too so reduced the calculation accordingly. LOL

Pretty fish, and the picture really looks nice with the big smile!

Hard to figure this length out. I looked for clues and didn't find many. I'll have to go with 49.25". I think this fish is longer than it first looks in the picture.

Somewhere between 41 to 43 inches. Its a little hard to tell by the angle the fish is being held. What gives it away is the minimal tail flop. Much longer and there would be more tail flop. A 48 incher would have much more tail flop.

Looking at how big his fish is in the other thread, which was a 39.. This fish is definitely bigger than that, id say 44ish

I was holding it at an awkward angle because I was quite tired, this fish came at the 7th hour of casting on the day. She bump-boarded at 47" exactly. The picture certainly doesn't do the fish justice. Thanks, and nice guesses everyone!

Ive see this type of post several times - its simply not true - the fish has to be relaxed for there to be "tail flop" - My Nikon shoots 2.5 frames per second, i sometimes shoot 20 pics of the same fish just for the heck of it - many of the pics of even 50+ " fish show little to no tail flop when a fish is moving/ tense while you shoot.

It's as long as it measures between the nose and the tail. End of story.
