Tom Gelb does not have to tune his lures for trolling. They don't dare run out of tune.

Tom Gelb once came upon a dead lamb in a field. After an hour of intense beard stroking he revived the lamb

If it swims, he can catch it!
I pray to have half the stamina and a hundreth of his trophy catches when I get to his age!
He absolutely deserves all he catches. He was catching muskies long before most of us were twinkles in our parents eyes.....and with equipement that was stoneage technology compared to that available to all of us today.
He is a treasure in the muskie world.

Back in Oct 2008 (MF Presque Isle Outing) I was out on Presque Isle lake & saw a row troller out in the middle - nasty day. Thought I'd cruise out & see what he was fishing over, and found a bunch of deep water humps w/ fish around them. Took a couple of snapshots w/ my Humminbird 997SI. Didn't really pay any attention till I got home & down loaded them. Then I noticed this strange image. The white streaks/spots in the left side SI image are some pretty good sized fish - muskies or really big walleyes.
But then I zoomed in on the down scan image-> the strange triangle & here's what I saw.

Have fun!
Al

Did you guys know Tom put out a work out video in the 80's?
It was a quick eight hour rowing workout called "Gelbersize"

The only reason that Dale caught his recent 55X27 was because it escaped off Tom Gelb's quick strike rig.
