I went over all the video since I have all the shots of the film.
I truly believe that this is the SAME fish!!!
The same scar as Jimtenhaaf had said. All in all very cool stuff.
I hope you guys had as much fun watching as I did making the video.....

They really are great looking, quality made lures. In fact, there are a few hundred of them hanging in my garage right now. So I've had a good chance to check them out up close.

I had a few of you email me and PM me about the weight of this bait, so I thought I would just post it here in case some others were wondering. Like I said earlier, the bait is 11 inches long and weighs 6 oz.

Nice looking bait. If it is the same fish from another video, is the footage 100% real or was there some editing done to get a fish behind the bait?

John

I personally shot all the underwater footage used for the Shadillac and it is 100% REAL! Trust me...it is my reward for my countless hours of effort. I also achieved fish footage for Musky Armor, Harvo Lures and Spankybaits. Hopefully next season will add many more to the list.

FYGR8,

Do you ever get strikes on video as well? If you do, I as well as many others would love to see them.

$30-$35 seems pretty spendy for a crankbait.

Not really when you think of the time that goes into each bait made, (quality, size, one at a time, custom, & so on..). TJMO.

not really when you compared them to perchbaits
i have no problem with 40$+ for carved wood cranks but 35$+ for plastic is way to much
same thing for foam baits even if they catch fish

I have only recorded 2 strikes so far. Both were small fish and came very quickly. I will upload them here so you may view them.

if you compare it to other swimbait on the market, which are mostly used for bass, those things are like $50-$125 per bait and those are plastic.

Better than spending 7 bucks a pop for kickin minnow.I've been thru at least 40 of them. That's 280 now compare price

If you guys knew how many hours and how many steps went into making one of those lures, you'd learn that the guys doing the work are making far less than minimum wage. If you think it's too much, don't buy one....as said before. These lures will last you a long time.

Having the opportunity to film these lures and see them first hand, I would not hesitate to pay that price. As a collector bait it is on the low end and as an everyday " throw 'em till your arms fall off" bait, it is not that unreasonable. Nobody will make you buy one if you don't think it is worth it! They will catch fish and they will hold up! My 2 cents.

Buying that new reel at the show $225
Casting the new rod that you had custom built $180
Spooling up that new reel with Power Pro $20
Filling up that big boat you have with premium gas $75

Fishing ALL day and not even getting a follow
because you were a cheap-ass and didn't spend $30-$35
on a Shadillac....

Priceless...........

I make a swimbait similar in size as the Shadillac and I would have to charge a similar price at miniumum for it to make it worth the time. Keep in mind that this lure is solid plastic not hollow and hand poured one section at a time. Each section must be weghted properly, the bill glued and installed, the joints drilled for pins, then primered, then paint, then several coats of clearcoat, then assembled. Each of the soft tails is also hand poured. It takes a long time to build a lure like this and you can expect this lure to also last a long time.

Kinda hard to form an opinion sight unseen. the bait is solid and catches fish. how many 20 dollar baits have you bought that fell apart? I know i have bought more than a few. like everyone else has said, if you dont want to pay that much, nobody says you have to. just dont buy it.

Exactly my thoughts. I'll be picking some up today when I get to the show. I'd rather spend $30-$35 on a bait that will last for multiple fish, than to keep spending $7-$15 for a bait that catches one or two fish.

The baits look good Mike, see you guys this afternoon.

With all due respect to your opinion, all those on your list are production baits and my guess is that they are all injection molded. You can't compare the cost of an injection molded bait to that of one that is hand-poured. It is like comparing the cost of a hellhound to a hand-made wood glider like a Hughes..........both great lures but but totally different production process. Some are willing to pay the extra money for the hand-built lures and others are not.

Most know I am on the side of quality and low prices but this lure for $30-$35 is a steal! I watch bass baits like this a lot on eBay and other places and this lure is just a steal for this price. Not sure how they are making it for this price but that is a fantastic price for a lure like this. And made in the USA. Great job guys!

My Black Lab took one of the bodies and "played" with it for a half hour. She fetched it, played tug-o-war with it and layed and chewed on it and it still moved smoothly and was barely scratched. Those lures will hold up for a long time and are worth every penny.

I like that.. "Lab" tested. Honestly, a good test of durability. If the dog (specifically a Lab = chewing machine animals) can chew it up and the bait holds up, I'd think it's a winner!

My only concern, Hulbert better have some of these still left for the MN show. I've created a Shadillac Fund.
