Posts: 330 Location: Pittsburgh, pa | I would pick a 6" straight Wiley in perch. I could twitch it or troll it.

Posts: 127 Location: Brookfield | I have over 400 baits and you want me to pick only one. Mania lift off rig with some form of meat attatched to it. If that doesnt count I would go with my black Pacemaker. I cant believe how much thought I put into this LOL. Nut

Posts: 1286 Location: WI | Either a black bucktail or a 10inch Believer. Hard to choose...has to be something I can fish in most conditions which rules out topwater...and something that I can troll in the fall...but I can't cast those big believers without them getting all tangled up..so I suppose..ugh..I hate bucktails...but it'd probably be one. To break it down seasonally it would be, bucktail, suick, believer.

Posts: 880 Location: New Berlin,Wisconsin,53151 | I know this has been asked in the past post but it's great to know what baits are working for all of us. I would have to have a weighted Suick at the end of the rod. I've consistantly caught fish on this bait all year. Bruce

Posts: 734 Location: Watertown, MN | I bait all year 24/7, I would have to go with a mag walleye dawg, versatile to fish all time of year, shallow deep, fast/slow. Cowgirl would be second choice, but loose confidence in them in late fall or early season conditions. Troyz

Posts: 1937 Location: Black Creek, WI | I think the most consistent producer from ice-out to ice-up would be a crankbait such as the TripleD.... but I'd have to go with a LongTale Spinnerbait... probably a Big Shot.... for the most productive lure overall. Rack up the numbers in spring/summer/early fall and then slow roll or jig it in late fall for a few more bigguns. I always love these "one lure" questions as it makes you really think. However, it also makes your realize that there is a time to optimize and a time to compromise. Choosing one lure for all applications is definitely a compromise.

Posts: 785 | I don't fish in the fall so I'd go with a nickel- blk/red double cowgirl as no. 1 a red bladed-blk/red cyco spin no. 2 and a sucker mag dawg no. three. Brad Hoppe should love me with this post

Posts: 1764 Location: Ogden, Ut | It really depends on where I would be fishing. If fishing locally, I could literally fish all year quite effectively with a J-13 Rapala. For spring in the weeds (flooded willows) it's buoyancy would keep it relatively weedless, it can be trolled, twitched, ripped and retrieved straight. Heck, I could even put it behind a downrigger ball and get plenty of depth out of the presentation. It even produces a nice fish on occasion... S. If I were expanding the breadth of locations to include all waters that I may fish, I'd go with a jig.

Posts: 2037 Location: lansing, il | i used to say if i could only take 1 bait...gimmie a mag dawg and ill be happy, but if its a new one it probablly wouldnt last very long and my year would be over pretty quick...... so ill go with a 11" curly sue!
