I love this shot as well, this was her first release. She reeled it in all by herself as well as releasing it to fight another day.
[]

My big fish pictures can be seen on my site.[:sun:]

This is my wifes pride and joy. The biggest muskie she caught. She always reminds me that she caught this 46" casting where I told her not to.

Jason -- you are a bit too intense .....In Montana when the weather is hot we go skinny tube musky hunting. Just you and the fish au natural. I bagged this big fat beauty with my bare hands. After a qick pic and weigh...she was around 90 lbs she was released. Came back and invited me to go to her spawning party. Said I could come as is...so of I went....

Wow,

I hate to make you feel old but I was only 4 years old when you caught that fish. The fish was older than me!

My favourite photo is on the MuskieFirst home page...it's also my biggest to date, which helps make it my favourite [:)]. This is also one of those "rare" 49.5" fish that went 37lbs...caught last August.

My bro Cisco Kid wanted me to post this picture for him since he's better with a fishing pole than hacking on a compouter.he,he,he (no offense I hope bro...gota get the jabs in when I can.). Here's a 49" fish that he caught this past November with me while fishing those cisco munchers.

By the way Jason Schillenger and Jerry B your fish are pretty impressive also. Nice fish Jason!!! Jerry B it looks like you have some great fishing partners there. Plus, it looks like Dad has shown them the ropes pretty good also. Tight lines and looking forward to seeing some more fatties this year.

catch ya later,
Krappie

This was a Goon fish, one of my favorite photos because of the lighting..early morning with a huge low pressure system going through. Wet, cold, and REALLY good fishing![]

My friend and Wyoming hunting outfitter Jack Savini, asked me to place this here. This is his best to date, a 53.5 fishing with me and my son, Keith on the Goon. It was his third muskie ever; some guys have all the luck. He took a Booner 6x6 elk that fall.[:praise:]

No Way I could pick just one. Too many photos too close to the heart to have just one favorite.

This was the largest musky caught on the day I asked my wife to marry me. She hates this picture. I'm dead meat if she finds out it is on-line. [:0]

It was the front page picture at one time... It will always be my favorite. Not my first 50 but it is my biggest and most memorable.

He taught me to fish, but he never musky fished himself. It was something I could give back to someone who put me onto a passion that will last a lifetime.

My Dad's heaviest musky (36#s) while still being two inches short of his longest.

And lastly, a memerable fish only because it took us longer to motor to the spot that morning than it took to hook and land this 35# fish. It was six degrees when we left the landing and we were asking ourselves, "What the hell do we do this for"? It only took minutes to answer that question.

Thanks to all who have diplayed their photos. I have really enjoyed the viewing. Come on the rest of you, there must be hundreds of great pictures and stories out there!

These guys were by far the funniest folks I ever fished with, something that I will never forget. By the way, Bob got a 38" and I got a 35". Filmed for ESPN.

Anyone have an tips to shrinking these picks....

I reduce them to 30% and they are still large. Sorry I am putting so many picks in folks, but I am just trying to figure this out.

Jason, when you resize make sure you're changing either the size or the resolution. If you shrink the pictures size but increase the resolution (which some software will do) obviously nothings changes. When viewing jpgs the computer cares only about the number of pixels. So you want to resize your images by shrinking the number of pixels. Also, if your software allows you to select the "quality" of the jpg it's best to go for a medium quality, this will make the file size of your jpg picture smaller for quicker downloads.

This picture isn't the greatest but it is basically how I got started in musky fishing. My grandfather was big into musky fishing. So much, that his nickname was "Nanook" - he loved the great Northwoods. In the picture, my Dad is holding his first musky (Sept. 1966) that he caught on a brown bucktail while fishing with Nanook on the Manitowish Chain (WI). I was born 4 months after this picture was taken. Nanook isn't with us anymore but his spirit truly lives on.
