| Got a hot pink 16 inch Grunt off of eBay about 6 weeks ago and got my first tiger muskie last week here in IA. Biggest tiger muskie I have ever gotten! ha ha A 34 incher over old fallen trees in about 20-22 feet of water. Not my first use of a big trolling lure but it was nice to finally get a tiger muskie! I will definitly be buying and using some other big baits this fall. |

| Has anyone tried the 12" Jaxon Pike, and what did you think of them if you did? Saw some at some store a while ago and thought they looked interesting.

Location: ashtabula ohio | i too purchased a grunt, the thing goes totally flat on its side when it rolls in a big s pattern. never seen a bait roll like this one. prices are good also... |

Here's a pic of a 13" Trueglide Undertow. Great for trolling or casting....

| I see some of those Grunts on eBay now. Watched some Novak lures go yesterday. Would not mind getting some of those too. His lures seem to go very high though. The one I wanted went for $51 a few weeks ago. Need some new items for fall season!!!! |

Location: ashtabula ohio | homina,i got the deep walleye pattern one. brown scaled bait with org belly. i was goin pretty slow, prolly less than 2 mph cuz the sucker was pullin so hard...lol. id say it went off about a foot in each direction on a big s pattern. what i liked was that it rolls totally on its side with great flash...! |

Location: Iowa | I have one of those Polish Pike Lures in the 12" model that I have yet to use...I would really love to get my hands on one of those trueglide crankbaits in the walleye color or sucker color...I have plows out the you know what though...

fish. i dont really like the action and the lips and hardware (hookhangers) seem kind of wimpy. |

Location: Chicago, Beverly | No Box(23") and MuskieFool(22") seem to have about the biggest baits I have seen, though I thought there was someone with a 24" somewhere... I have seen a couple Musky with what appeared to be fish roughly in the 20-22" range in their mouths.. a site to see for sure.... I guess those cats can get to around 80lbs or more and one thing I read is they hit lures.... sounds like a road trip is in order for them.... lol... |

Location: Minnesota | I have seen a 24 inch jointed but it was homemade and about 30 years old. It is screwed onto the wall at the Sportsmans lodge up in Ontario Canada now. The owner and his brother (who owns Anglers Kingdom) used to row troll it around the lake. They stated they did catch some monster pike (45-50+ inches) on it once in a great while. Days of rowing for one fish. |

My MRG painted lures are in and they look great! Many have said to charge $60-$70 or more for these big trolling baits but I have kept the price below $40. I hope this is a good deal for all as I know cash is getting hard to come by these days for most (*Hence me making muskie lures!)These are handmade from American hardwood and only use top terminal tackle like Wolverine triple split rings, Mustad hooks etc.
Thank you for those of you who have emailed me with suggestions and recommendations for my site and lures. FYI-I only have one of each of the MRG color patterns right now but will have more of each soon. If I do not have "Sold Out" over the picture I still have it in stock. I do have lots of stock color patterns and jointed models and will not run out of those for a while. Making more as fast as my wife and kids will let me. email me with any questions.

| Got a 10" Polish Pike last fall and had a 2 muskie day using them while casting. I like their action and they aren't too bad to cast. Some of the finish is coming off, but I'll take that when it means I've released a couple of fish!!!  I know more fish will fall to it again soon!!!

| Great looking lures!
Question: What is the smallest muskie or pike you will catch with these lures? In other words, how big does a fish need to be before they will go after big lures like these?

Take the length of the bait X2 and that is where you will start
Use a 16 inch lure and catch 32 inch muskies and larger. Just my general rule of thumb and seems to be about right from the data I have found in journal articles dealing with the gut contents of muskies and pike. Not a lot out there on the subject though....
With that said I have caught pike smaller than the lures I was using while fishing in Canada.
