The rest of DD's secret weapons. I think these non-traditional color patterns look pretty tasty.

LongTale Tackle will tie up any pattern you can dream up!

jlong, i guess its because i have never done it because my parents havent let me. most of my lures
i buy from gander mountain or order from rollie and helens. if i show my dad these though he might
change his mind.

Funny how subtle changes to color patterns change the entire look of the bait. Here is a custom FireTale.

Is this thread getting obnoxious yet?

Not that I would want to contribute to a shameless promotion, but let me tell ya.

I've fished spinnerbaits for almost 36 years and these babys are vastly different from what I've used before.

Now, Long told me they don't work under these circumstances, those circumstances and I find them to work better than the other spinnerbait tools I've used before, under these and those circumstances.

Meaning, it's not so much the lure, but the fisherman and how he/she can present the lure.

But, in this instance, I will make an exception to that statement.

These spinnerbaits do make a difference and if you all know the likes of meses, I'm not his buddy nor back pocket material.

But, I don't have a rod in the boat with atleast one of these baby's tied on.

Their that good...

Still tweakin' some color patterns. Here is a Crystal Cisco with Polar Flash instead of Krystal Flash down the sides.

Irridescent paint is cool on crankbaits... and this stuff let's you put it on a spinnerbait too!

Fenner may like these baits cause they catch fish, are extremely versatile, and push the envelope for spinnerbait performance.... but I like 'em cause they are PRETTY.

These are the kind of stories I love.

My buddy Todd Forcier guided Chuck Holmquest to not just his FIRST musky (37 incher), but also his second (41 incher) and third musky (31 incher) of his life last Thursday (8/31/2006). All three fish ate custom Long Tale Spinnerbaits! Way to go Chuck! I'm sure chuck won't forget that evening for a long long time.

jlong,

Shoot me an email. I have a suggestion for your website and what program you might buy to help build your website out. I used the program from GoDaddy and liked it but found one with mor functionality and it runs like Microsoft PowerPoint. You can also publish from it into the GoDaddy servers very easily.

Jason is a stand up guy. Anything you would order from him, would be better than any pic you have seen. The Long's have an awesome operation going.

Check out some of the GIANT fish caught on LongTales in 2006 on our updated website. And if you can't compete for the BIG Fish photo contest... don't forget there is also a "best picture" contest as well.

Remember, LongTales are custom made lures.... so you can get whatever you need. All you have to do is ask.

Here is a HOT prototype from 2006 that will be offered in 2007.

Please check out our updated website. Still a low budge deal, but I'm really impressed with my wife's work. She built it herself!

I'm still amazed at all the cool custom stuff people can dream up too. The "custom shop" has kept this hobby project a lot fun. Check out this FireTiger Shimmering Hot Shot!

Thanks for the input Dave J. I want the lure to look "skinny" to provide a long, slender profile versus the traditional bulky "panfish" profile provided by most traditional spinnerbaits. There are lots of other reasons behind the profile as well. For example.... the slender profile has less drag which caters to a high speed retrieve. LongTales are the FASTEST spinnerbaits I've ever fished... and that makes them unique.... in my opinion... and something most people don't consider from a spinnerbait.

CJ's are very fine quality spinnerbaits and have a great reputation. If you want a CJ's... then buy a CJ's. But... in my opinion... you will be missing out on an entirely new spinnerbait opportunity by not trying out a Long Tale.
