Currently liviing in Mountain Home Arkansas but will be moving to MN, somewhere in the Walker/Bemidji area. In the past I fished for walleyes more than muskies (last year was my first year trying occasionally for the big, toothy critters, and I caught 6). Plan to fish Leech, Cass, and Bemidji, plus some of the smaller area lakes (Plantagenette, etc.).

Ranger 617 with 150 Optimax. Pinpoint sonar and Lowrance GPS.

My name is Steve Huber and while I sleep in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, I'm usually out on the hundreds of lakes in the Rhinelander, Tomahawk and Eagle River area. I'm also proud to say that I've known and been a friend of Steve Worrall for more years than I care to think of.

There are about 2 dozen lakes that I guide on, but some favorites are Boom Lake, Lake Mohawksin and the Wisconsin River.

If you see a blue and white ProCraft SuperPro 190 on the water, swing on over and say hi. The boat is equipped with a Merc 175 EFI, PinPoint trolling motor and locators. Tackle is either Shimano or Ambassaduer reels and custom rods (based on St. Croix blanks).

If you see a black 2001 Chevy Silverado extended cab 4x4 (with ProCraft Fishing Team on the back window) in the parking lot, make sure to look for me out on the lake.

I'll be at the show at the Rosemont Show (Jan. 16-20), the Madison Fishing Expo (Feb. 21-24) and the Milwaukee Sport Show (March 8-17). I'll be in the Lake-Link.com booth at Milwaukee and Madison, in Chauncey Niozel's booth at the Rosemont. If you're going to any of these shows, drop on in and say hi.

Seems like i've done this about ten times in the past four years, but it's always interesting.

Anyway:

I'm Doug Johnson form Warroad, Mn (SW shores of the LOTWs). Mostly fish and guide out of the NW Angle part of the lake and have a cabin in Whitefish Bay. I've have tried almost everywhere in the lake from time to time and have been on the lake since 1961. I've also fished many of the other muskie lakes in NW Ontario, and they are all great fun, and great lakes!

Currently running a Triton 205 (great boat), with a 225 Merc Optimax on it (great motor so far) 15 hp Merc kicker, Minnkota Maxxum trolling motor, with lots of different electronics. I pull this around with a 1999 Cheve extended cab pick-up.

Heading for Kentucky the end of the month for a couple of months for a little striper fishing. May get to the "Cave" or "Green River" to see if the southern muskies will bite a northern boys lure.

I live in the epicenter of the Muskie world.
Mount Prospect Illinois (NW burb of Chicago). I cant drive a block without seeing some prime muskie water. Yep. the lakes around here can produce some mighty fine muskie that grow to about 5 inches.. some people say im crazy and that they are bluegills but what the hell do they know. In order to fish for good sized bluegills i have to drive 45 minutes to fish for them on the Fox Chain or go all they way to Canada for a great shot at a trophy gill. I think Sponge knows what im talkin bout...man these drugs are starting to wear off.
Boat..17' Tuffy Esox deep v

Michigan's UP here, just outside a little town called Wallace, a hop and skip over the Wisconsin border. Fish mostly northeastern Wisconsin lakes like High and Caldron Falls, and many of the little lakes that dot the UP, plus a week in Canada every year with my brother, sons, father and buddy. Chevy full sized truck pulling a Yar-Craft 1785 Wrangler BT with a 75 Merc on back for those interested. Love the site. Don't post much because I can't imagine what I could say that anyone would care to read about.

Mike Moschell from beautiful Athens, Ohio; Gateway to West Virginia. I run a '78 BassTracker with a 9.9 Merc on the small lakes around home, and just got a '97 Gambler 209 TE with a 225 Merc this past year. What a boat, takes your breath away! My son Jon and I fish small lakes within a short drive of home, and Salt Fork, Seneca, Cave Run, Dale Hollow, and the Ohio River with the big boat. Just got started on muskie fishing last year and have yet to boat a biggun, but the time is coming (last count: 9,998 casts). m

My name is Joel Tinker (no da!) and I live 16 miles South of Superior, Wisconsin. Have fished the NW part of Wisconsin all my life and moved to the area 14 years ago.

I guide in several counties in the NW part of this great state as far East as Lake Namakagon and as far South as Lake Wissota.

I run a web page that reports on some of the fishing in our area. If you ever have a need for help or information about the area don't hesitate to contact me. I help a lot of people out each year with things from lake recommendations to lodging whether you plan to book me as a guide or not. There's plenty of fish up here for all of us! I always try to remember what it was like to be the guy who only had a few precious days to get North for some fishing and needed reliable information to put a trip together.
