| In my (humble) opinion the speakers alone were worth the price of addmision (I went deep for the $15 weekend pass) and have sat through all but one of the seminars. If you can pick up even one tidbit of info that sticks in your head and it gets you a nice fish next summer ........whats that worth? I would have liked to see more exibitors and vendors but its still a young show. As far as the pro's/guides working to make a buck....I go to work most days of the week to do the same thing. These guys and gals are for the most part trying to scratch a living out of something that all of us love to do, if they are good at it and we'll pay a bit to hear what they have to say.......they deserve a buck or two......MH and EA mags don't show up for free on your doorstep do they? It's not the biggest show in town but it's a nice place to hide from the wife and talk/think fishing for a bit. Nothing wrong with that, I'll be there tommorow for another tidbit or two. Bob T | |||

Posts: 32958 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Lots more tomorrow when I get back to my high speed internet access. I will upload a final report and pictures after I pull the 2050 Patriot back home in the snow and ice. If all is well tomorrow with the Sprint PCS connection I will post from the show!

Posts: 46 Location: Hugo, Mn | I was there yesterday with my 3 boys and 1 of their buddies. Yes it is smaller than the Blaine show, something that I personally liked about it. We made it to Gregg and Ty's seminars and came away with some great information. I also got the chance to talk to Steve and Slamr, nice meeting both of you. The kids had a blast, we bought a couple lures, sat through some entertaining and infomative seminars and got to meet some very nice people. Great way to spend an afternoon in January. Dave

Posts: 42 Location: Sheldon, IA | Went to the show Sat. afternoon, I thought the show was great. There was alot of lures to look at and purchase. Speakers were very good, and the small show gave a guy a chance to talk with them afterwards. Also went to the pool demo, was very interesting to watch new lures work before one purchased them. I really enjoyed the show and will go again. One question to anyone that was at the pool demo, I foget the name of a surface lure they used. The one that really clicked when he worked it. I belive he said the hooks hit the prop as he worked it. Any info would be great.

Posts: 20281 Location: oswego, il | I had alot of fun at the show. Everybody was accessable and everything was right there. You could call it an all exclusive musky show. The hotel, food, drinks, swap and vendors party was all right there. The only driving I almost did was taking slamr to taco bell since his faculties would not allow himself to get there. Lots of laughs to be had, I think the funniest thing was the cop at the hotel pointing to the no smoking sticker on the window when a certain someone walked into the hotel with a cigarrete and told the cop there is no sign(with many explatives thrown in). Why the cop was there, who knows, they must have anticipated everybodies return to the motel. I want to give a big thanks to James and Jim Stella. I took the shullte bus to the pool demo. It was my first time on a long school bus an experience I will always remember. Hey at least I was able to goto minesota for a change and not endure a blizzard.

Posts: 2378 | I enjoyed the show very much. Obviously, it was not as big as the Blaine show, but who would have expected that in the first year. Overall, it was a good show. Was just as easy to spend money there as at the Blaine show. Congrats Jim Stella on the show!

Good to see some familiar faces and met some new folks as well.My kids absolutely freaked when I gave them each their own squirrley jake. It was like Christmas all over again. They're 6 and 8. Posts: 7123 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | For the first year of a show, it was a BLAST. Seemed to be a little different flavor than some of the other shows, more focused on the "younger geneartion" of muskie pros and manufacturers, so for me that was pretty cool. There seemed to be more than enough vendors for folks to leave the show having filled there bags with new baits and stuff.

Posts: 158 Location: Eagan, MN | I, for one, hope the show returns next year. I stopped in on Friday night and caught a couple decent seminars by Rick Krueger and Pete Maina. Since I went in with a strict 'no-purchase' discipline, I didn't buy anything, but it wasn't for lack of temptation. Now I kinda wish I had, if for no reason other than to support the show. There were a couple of ERC Grinders that really wanted to make the trip home with me!!!

Posts: 827 Location: Minneapolis,Minnesota | I thought the Xpo was decent, granted not as big as Blaine but still better than sitting in the house jerkin my pole waiting for soft water. It was nice to see some people I haven't seen in a while and meet some new ones. I caught Saric's seminar and Sennett's was good for me because I want to learn the Chip better for a few trips I'll make next season. I ended up buying a few things though I said I wouldn't. The only thing I really thought I would buy was one of Cady's new baits but couldn't get a Wabull in the pattern I wanted but suspect I'll see one in Milwuakee so I'm not sweating it. I got my first HR Hughey, I picked up the Badfish DVD that is GREAT (hey Cady, a bit of shamless Musky Nut promotion on that one buddy!!!hehehehe) I gots me a fancy Musky Nut sweatshirt that'll match my boat (a little queer eye for the musky guy thing going on there heh Treats? haha), a cool new bait called the Musky Trap (like a squirrely burt that'll really dance), one of Worrals buzz baits that'll be killer for next seasons reed bite and a new MF decal for the boat. Now that I type it out I actuially spent an a$$ load of cash at the Xpo.....I gotta go now and look at my Wells Fargo account! I know I'll be going back to next years Xpo. I hope they can get a swap together next year.

| We just want to let everyone know that Thornes not being at the Extreme Expo was in no way a political move, we support the Stellas 100% and would have enjoyed being at the MPLS. show, but we were a tad undermanned this past weekend with Pat and Brett teaching the ice fishing school on Crow lake and Matt, Luke, and Jim all there at the show, we just did not have the man power to run the store and a booth at the show. We would like to congratulate the Stellas and everyone who made this show a sucsess and thank the people for the posts about Thornes. Josh Roundsley | |||

| I've got to say this was a great show. The vendors that were there were a lot of fun. Got to hang out with steve Jonesi and to take some of Slamr's coin in pool. You're next Worrel! Thanks to the Stella's for a great show. Ty | |||

| This was by far the most fun I have had at a show, and I can't thank the Stellas enough for the chance to be a part of it, like Josh said Thornes would have been there if it was possible, but you can count on Thornes being there next year. Once again I thank the vendors, the Stellas, and the crowd for giving me 3 days of laughter and enjoyment at the Extreme Expo. Matt Thompson | |||

| This was the most fun I have ever had at a sport show! James and Jim Stella did a great job putting this show together. Congrats to Matt Thompson for one heck of a job as MC... It was laugh after laugh! Slamr, I had a great time shooting pool with you. Count me in for Milwaukee Steve, can you bring a Large MF sweatshirt to Milwaukee?? Thanks! Laura | |||

Posts: 1536 Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | Great job on the show Jim. I bet by the armloads of tackle I saw go out the door there are some vendors that very happy about having a booth at the expo. I know that I will return as a happy customer again next year. Great to see the Shady one, sworrall, treats, slamr, Laura M etc. I finally met Steve Jonesi as well. Great to talk fishin, again with all you fine folks.
