Location: Clintonville, WI | There are two matches coming up this weekend. For those teams, watch your PM inbox here for your items within 24 hours ahead of your match.
For those that have not participated before, the items will be easily transported and manageable in the boat. That doesn't mean they won't be silly or maybe even embarrassing......just that they will be easy to handle.
Examples of items in the past include a minnow bucket (which resulted in the iconic MatchFishing photo of Steve Jonesi wearing a styrofoam minnow bucket on his head in the fish photo), a softball, a plunger and a stuffed animal. |

Location: Waukee, IA | Ok, my concern is that I'm fishing back to back matches (sleep when I'm dead) and can't go 2 hours back home from the lake to retrieve items. Can they be relatively common so I don't need to run to a store and buy something obscure?

Location: Clintonville, WI | The first matches of the year are this weekend in the MN and IA regions.
Team Tretsven vs Fargo Yacht Club (MN) and Team Red Ranger vs Team Red Baron (IA) are on for 6/6/15. For the 6/6/15 matches, you may choose from the following items:
-- a flower stuck somewhere on your person. In your hat, glasses, pocket, behind your ear......whatever works.
-- a ladies necklace worn in the picture
-- a 40 oz can of beer
These items will also be sent via PM.
Any fish photos and info from 6/6/15 must be sent to me by noon on 6/7/15. Email or text are fine.
***Item options for the 6/7/15 match will be posted here tomorrow and in the teams' PM. If you will not have access to internet, call my cell and I'll give the items to you verbally.

Location: Clintonville, WI | MN teams were in a tight match on 6/6/15......Tretsven's 44.5" fish edges past Fargo Yacht Club's 42" fish. There are no points for item inclusion creativity in the photos but I'll give kudos for both teams in this match!

We had the necklace on the fish but it slipped of just before the picture:(
nice fish tretsven. Glad someone else had some luck on opener. We had 2 other fish up that day but the boat spooked them each time. Darn storms kept us off the lake the majority of the afternoon!

Team Gurkha did send a photo of the team with one of the item choices, good for 1 point.

Location: Clintonville, WI | I would encourage all teams to go back and read the rules again. Make sure you all know the rules about how/when the proof items are given and when/where to post photos with fish and/or items.
There are lots of matches in July, but quite a few matches still need to be scheduled. I should be current with my match tracking through the 7/23/15 match between Musky Nuts and River Musky. Please continue to work with the other teams to schedule your matches and post them here. |
