mb that is a great looking bait, if that thing had glass eyes you'd have to smack it with a hammer to get it on the line, LOL, that glide looks alive, I love it.

I got a new Iwata Custom Micron CM-C Plus airbrush last week and here's the results. This airbrush is considered to be the "best of the best" by top pros. They are right! It allows such fine control of the paint flow that I can freehand details that I could never have done without it. Hope you like the paint on this one, I believe that it's among the best I've ever done.

Snax that is amazing! I would need glasses to paint that fine. I can't believe the details. That can paint those tinny dots? I also like the depth of color on the back. Good job!

Snax,

Not sure if you like eBay or not but, that job would go for $40-$50 on eBay IMO. Very nice!!

That's a beauty, Musky Snax. Great detail and a great use of color and shading. That's great work, no matter what brush you use.

Thanks LeMay OUT

That's a super looking paint job. The blue lines under the mouth are awesome. If I had a muskie following it, I'd try to keep him from biting it.

A couple of the latest baits I have made. I wish I had painted a cooler color scheme however this is what works for me on the waters I fish so thats what they got. Two different profiles, a cisco [still had to add a shad spot :)] and a shad. Now only if there wasn't 7 inches of ice............................

Simply awesome Nate!
I almost hate to say this but I've been working on my own lipless swimbait design for quite some time now and i've finally perfected them. Mine are made from cedar. Are yours molded plastic Nate? They must swim incredibly well looking at your design.

Wow! Those look great!! Are those the ones that I saw swimming? If so-Watch out! They swim even better than they look(that's saying alot). Nice job on the tail .

Thanks for the compliments. Yep thats the newer version of the one you saw swimming Joe, only these "travel" a little farther. I must give credit where it is due in that the tail connection was taken from the way Joe attaches his tales on his RT series. Snax I would be extremely interested to see what you have come up with for your swimbaits. Mine are made out of hard maple and I have a couple in progress out of mahogony. With the way the weather is going it might be a while till I can compare differences between the two.

My hats off to you Nate for making those from wood! I'm debating wether or not to add fins to mine or just stick with painting them on. The tail is seperate and also made of cedar.
I can honestly say that I didn't copy from anyone on the design other than the angle of the cut where the two halves of the bait seperate. I just took my existing Trout and divided it in two and added the tail. With my experience in weighting glide baits I squeeze the most action possible from them by careful weight placement.

Nate I'd absolutely love to see your swimbait in action. I'll guarantee that it looks alive in the water.

This lure was commissioned by a friend for short line deep trolling.
13 ounce trolling spinnerbait. I used a Mustad 10/0 hook and 0.092" wire. I need to find a bucktail substitute, something longer, maybe artificial yak hair or horse tail?
Those are #8 and #7 willow leaf blades. Gotta upsize those too!

The bait began as a wooden pattern.

The mold is made from Bondo.

Here's a pic of a swimbait that I made for fun(actually for myself ). I stopped making them as they take so freaking long to hide the joints well, but Nate gave me the bug again! Thanks for the inspiration Nate!
