Posts: 1283 | Any place in Northern IL that carries a St Croix Big Dawg Full grip rods? Cabelas in Hoffman does not stock them nor does Bass Pro in Gurnee. After using my new 9ft premier 2pc rod I love the trigger and its a good rod but think the 8'6" BD would be the perfect length and weight for me.

Posts: 1283 | Stopped by Daves and he had just got a new Big Dawg in, so I grabbed it. Thanks for the help its actually a really nice shop! They have a lot of muskie gear and pretty much every St Croix they make less one full grip Big Dawg. Think its my new favorite place and Dave is a great guy to BS with.

Posts: 1283 | 10s. and rubber is what I mainly use. Might start using it for large cranks and a a couple 13s that I barely use now. I have a 8ft XH premier with a NACL 6.4 for smaller stuff.

Posts: 1100 | It's my favorite rod for 9's and 10's, also like it for 10" jakes, 10-12" suicks, and lots of other stuff, Imo one of the most allround rods i have tried.

Posts: 443 Location: Duluth, MN | Your gonna love it. I got one last week and threw it for 3 days straight. Best rod i've ever thrown. I don't throw pounders or anything over 10's and it throws anything else perfectly. I have a long ranger for small 6's and light topwaters or spinnerbaits. Big Dawg for everything else.
