I usually like silence but when I do jam out while fishing I usually play the String Cheese Incident - preferably shows from Spring or Fall of 2000. Or some Grateful Dead shows from 1977.

Sometimes a little music is all you need to get the fish going. It sure seemed to work last weekend.

I like to hear and be aware of whatever is happening around me. Be it loons calling, eagles and ospreys screaming, or a voice in a faraway boat. Combine that with friendly banter with my fishing partner and that does it for me.

Not silence per se but I'm fairly sure it's what the others mean.

Whatever comes in clearly on the radio. That is when who ever Im fishing with turns it on, I personally would not listen to anything but if it makes others happy I dont have a issue with it.

Sirius would be nice! I listen to the radio when I'm trolling, but silence is nice for casting.

brewers games are always good to tune into. we take our boat to canada every year and travel 2 hours down a logging road. after 10 years of the constant rattling the bolts holding it in place stripped and the radio fell out

Quiet with my radar/listening turned up paying attn to eagles and loons and the water. Talking with one- or if lucky enough, both of my boys in the boat- who are now 22 and 19 year old young men. Last year I listened to a Packers game, and a Vikings game the next weekend. I liked that too.

Audioslave, Soundgarden, temple of the dog, and Slash are my favorites. We also bump gangster rap from time to time (Ace Hood, Trinidad James, etc)

Iron Maiden, Zeppelin, Tool, Country Music, or silence. I do have a 2000 watt sub, two 6x9s, and two 2x4's installed into my fishhawk and it makes those wakeboarding boat systems sound weak. But only in the middle of a hot day or after I boat a fish do I feel the need to get that blasting.

No music in the boat. But on the way to/from the lake it's The Gaslight Anthem, Alkaline Trio, The Offspring, Dropkick Murphy's, Flogging Molly, Sum41, Rolling Stones, Johnny, Bad Religion, Social Distortion, and I can't think of what else.

About three fourths of my fishing is in the metro, so peaceful serenity is a little tough to come by. If the Twins are playing, I'll have them on. Otherwise, it's the good old Grateful Dead. When I fish out of town, it's nothing but the water lapping at the boat.

Silence, Packer games, Badger games, Brewer games, and in DH Buc's boat Sunday morning "Polka Party"!
