Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | Guys I may be wrong but this bait I think could be the next BIG THING in the Musky world. I hope some Big Name Guides give it a shot to see if it works like I think it will.

Posts: 791 Location: WI | They also make a buck tail with a 4 blade rig instead of 1 inline. Wish I would have took a pick at the WI show yesterday. Looked cool but I couldn't pull the trigger at $25.

I will play around with the blades, size and style. This is a totally NEW BAIT DESGN for 2014, U don't see that anymore.

Like I said I think it will catch some Big Muskies with this bait. I like that U can change the blades on this bait. Fudally been in business for a long time and builds some of the best baits made today. I also like his DC10 bucktails. I may have to get some more at the MN Muskie Show in April.

Posts: 1760 Location: new richmond, wi. & isle, mn | Mike gave me a couple last fall. They are awesome in the water. Tons of vibration with a whole lotta drag. Definitely be slow rolling them this summer through the witching hours. No reason to believe this bait won't be a great one. Great job Mike. Keep the ideas rolling.

Posts: 285 Location: Eagan, MN | I believe in the bait ball phenomena that occurs with predatory game fish, so bought two of Fudally rigs to play with this past year. While I thought the rig looked awesome in the water, the rig fouled at a high rate on the cast causing me to give up in frustration. I was rigging it with a DCG, which would flutter and catch on the arms in flight. The rig itself had a tendency to somersault in mid-cast causing more fouling. I think the bait might be a better option for trollers than casters like me. I haven't given up hope though for this rig, but feel some overhaul might be needed for the casters who want to use this. More experimentation is in order for sure. Maybe move the arm with the lure to one of the outside arms, with a heavy weight for more stability in the air when casting? I'm also hearing rumors that some guys are having success switching out the blades to hookless rattle baits, with one large hooked model to draw the bite. Talk about getting some attention... Brian Edit: Now that I see a photo of the gen 2 bait, perhaps Fudally has addressed the issue noted above? I have the gen 1 rigs with the swivels on all arms.

Posts: 572 | Are the arms shorter than the arms on the Fudally umbrella rig? It is hard to tell whether the bucktail can be replaced. Basically, it looks like the bucktail is on the middle wire and can NOT be replaced. That's probably why it might work. Attaching a bucktail to an umbrella rig using a snap might not work so well.

Posts: 750 Location: Minneapolis, MN | According to the TB website it's 10.5" long whereas the umbrella rig is 13.5" long before attaching a lure.

Posts: 1360 Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | I saw them at thorne yesterday when I was there getting some blades and flash. Looks cool. I like the design and I am sure the action will draw in some big fish. I also like how it is slightly more streamlined then the umbrella rig, which I vowed never to throw. It should be a good one this season. I will hafta try one before pulling the trigger though. hopefully one of my buddies buys one so I can give one a shot for an hour or two and see how I like it

Posts: 29 Location: IGH Minnesota | Here is a pic of the Hearthrob from Waterbeast tackle as Ross mentioned above. We have been using it since 2007 and have produced some nice fish on this bait over the years. Waterbeast started producing them over the past year and now everyone has a another fine tool to add to their arsenal. Attachments ---------------- ![]()

Posts: 76 Location: MPLS Metro | The heartthrob idea\concept\prototype was brought to us by a couple amazing sticks that had already proven how productive it was, we just cleaned it up, made it tuff and fine tuned it to what you see now. Thanks guys, you know who you are, for trusting us to manufacture it and make it part of the Waterbeast family.

Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | I had a chance to use the pool at the High School and the FUDALLY UMBRELLA will be a BIG Fish lure for sure. I used a Tranx reel and could burn it in and the wake it made was what I had hoped for. I know I'll be getting more at the MN Musky Show now for sure.

Posts: 76 Location: MPLS Metro | As of this moment, no. We are currently working with a couple retailers to get it into stores, and it will for sure be available in stores and/or online by the end of the week. We will post its availability on all of our social media pages and our website.

Glad to see water beast tackle picked it up. -- Any insight on how productive it is fishing next to a DC10 or DC8? I am just curious how they compare production wise to the popular baits. Any info is appreciated

Posts: 2 Location: Carlton mn | They are as effective as any 8 or tens. They pull very much like the tens. I do like the fact that they start spinning as soon as you start cranking. And come through cover very close to a spinnerbait. And in cold front conditions we have had a lot of success slow rolling them.
