I will be giving clues randomly. Winner gets an assortment of top quality muskie lures, a Frabill Powercatch Net, and a set of MuskieFIRST clothing;  hat, sweatshirt, T shirt.

FIND it!!!

a few FAQs and answers:

What am I looking for?

an object that you would use every day to fish muskies. It must be indentified, and then FOUND!!

where might it be?

on a messageboard

how do I win?

post the winning text on this thread

Will there be prizes added?

yes

When?

I have no idea

Will Worrall tell me if I get a clue figured out?

Sure.

Will Worrall answer any questions about the clues?

Yes, with more riddles, progressively getting tougher to figure out. Don't bother.

Thanks to Kpappie for donating the last hunt prizes to the coming Spring Auction for Ashton. Sir, you are a gentleman!

Week Number One!! Clue, Identify the object you are seeking:

Alexander the Great is about whom we are singing; wow said the old guy, my ears are still ringing!! Fighting and screaming, hollering and yelling, if someone wants that stuff, I won't be the one selling.

Greek...perhaps a great fish catching BAIT that peeps are raving about, but can't be bought and won't be sold by someone...sounds like Greek to me...

*Born in Macedonia in late July, 356 B.C....perhaps a post containing mace, perhaps a post from the month of July...directions please!

He ain't heavy, he's my brother... winding road...cat's in the cradle w/ a silver spoon...I just got bit by a circus baboon...sorry, wrong tune...I need help peeps...alone, one man cannot unscramble that which has been scrambled, but my people, I am here to tell you that HUMPTY DUMPTY CAN be put back together again, especially w/ the modern technology that we have today....the mind is a terrible thing to waste...now I must put forth a grueling 6 hrs in at the office, where I will consume 2 small slivers of pizza, a Coke Cola, and perhaps a Pay Day...

Sponge I was checking this yesterday to no avail. With help from the others I know we will prevail.

Noted the Krappie was spelled with a P instead of R. A digit transgression? I think not. Opposite ends of the keyboard you see.

Also, reference to Alexander the Great. Take the errant P from Krappie add Al (short for Alexander and you have Pal. There are posts in the Buy Sell Swap threads by "Pal". Checked those but no luck. Also noted that our divine ruler used the word "stuff" and "I won't be the one selling".

Me thinks there is some "stuff" for sale under on the board, not by Mr Worrall that will lead us to the next clue.

Perhaps the "singing" could refer to a Musky Nut dance song at one of the shows in the past...Walk Like An Egyptian"...the Bangles...loud music...heiroglyphics...the "ringing", perchance a phone call to buy something that wasn't being sold...who can tell? All I can hear in the background now is the Rug Rats...cannot concentrate...must have...water....

Nope,Guys, not close. Nope.

Hey Ranger!! Your club; you ask questions and seek,

The favorite things we like, the bold and the meek...

Which one applies here, makes sense if you ponder...

apart from the singing you begin to wander!

WE are "Iron Maiden". SONG is "Alexander the Great(356 - 323 BC)". The old guy is Worrall.

Hey Shep you must have listened to some good ole vintage Maiden to know that. I'm impressed, I use to be a head bangin metal head back in the day and Dad thought Ozzy was heavy.LOL.

I'll be doubly impressed if Steve had posted some lyrics from the Heavy Metal era... and here I thought he just listened to that bubble gum rock.he,he,he(just kidding of course Steve).

catch ya later,
Krappie

Shep has the first clue nailed..

Iron Maiden, Heavy Metal. Keep this one as clue catagory number 1!!

Now...

What does this mean??

Heavy Metal, Iron Maiden are a clue to me, but maybe not to you if you fail to see, the connection to what I am, what I might be what I'm not; it was a heavy metal song getting us up to this spot!!

This has NOTHING to do with the clue, just is a simple answer to Krappie---

Krappie;

I went to two Iron Maiden concerts. Yup, two. Go figure.

HITCHED...which leads to the Allman Brothers famous true song "Tied to the Whipping Post", a sad state that all men encounter once they say "I do"...some sooner than others, but in the end, all must endure this painful experience; ones only hope is that the wife is merciful, or gets tired easily!:(

Clue for the halibut:

You are looking for something that you need to muskie fish, it will not work without this, no matter how hard you wish! The item you now seek will NOT get you the big prize, but this will help you get focused on what to look for...surprised??

Seeing the word "HALIBUT" allows me to reflect back to some of me family members, who had both eyes on the same side of their head; in order to get a biggie on board, one may implement the use of a GAFF...which I might add is also another view of marraige in these parts, as is the term NOOSE; once the male has been GAFFED, a NOOSE is then applied. RELEASE tool comes to mind...once the microwave stops, I hope to continue as my thinking has become somewhat scrambled....

I promised my wife, my family, and myself that I was going to stay out of this one, since the last one controlled my existence for over a week, but I can't stand not participating in this brain exercise. You win Worrall.

My first feeble attempt: Heavy Metal, marriage, and needed to muskie fish? Could we be referring to split RINGS? Married people wear rings (at least most of the time), they are made of heavy metal, and you pretty much need split rings on most baits, right?

I'll never forgive you for this Steve.

Slamr, I hear ya. I followed the last one and still didn't understand it when it was over. Steve seems to have a fairly twisted, riddling mind, but what scares me even more is Shep is able to figure him out. I've only lost a few hours of sleep over this one so far--can't wait till it heats up.

WOW EJ, you are again closing in , but I must warn you finding me will not log the win. I am but one object that will lead to another, and so on until we give away  the 'lode', it's a MOTHER!!

Slamr--bull. You already have this figured out.

Steve, maybe the lode reference refers to some mettalic or ore deposit that you may use to make steel leaders?

Knights in white satin...hitched to a PLOW...I'd better soon stop...I'm losing it now...any posts mentioning mesh as in metal...gate, fence, etc...I think that if you follow the LEADER, you will perchance find the next ITEM, which I think is attached to the LEADER; perhaps a certain BAIT, maybe hung on something METAL...who can know these things...
