I read over some of the "best colors" list, and had to ask you guys what you think the most productive lure out there is. Got to go with a Medussa or Pounder Bull Dawg.

The past two seasons my most productive bait has been the Raptor jerkbait, but prior to that it always has been a jerkbait of one kind or another, so jerkbaits/gliders are my go to

We caught more fish on gliders this season than any other year I can remember, although rubber baits took the cake. It really comes down to what you throw most often...

the most productive lure in the boat is a bucktail and someone is always throwing a version of it. In early season a small single blade is hard to beat along with a spinner bait to get in the weeds. in the summer a big double bladed bucktail really turns the Green Bay fish on.

Suicks produced the most fish for me last year, but as mentioned above I think this is a weighted question as any bait you have confidence in will get thrown more.

When I absolutely need to see/catch a fish on a zero day, I'll have an Acid Frog Muskie Treat at the end of my leader. On better days, I'll be slinging a Jr. DCG and/or MI rubber.

Trolling the last 20 years Wiley Crankbaits have to be right at the top for numbers of muskies caught.Numbers of muskies over 55" trolling has to be Grandma, Believer & Legend Perchbait.

Big Game Cranks and Suick's performed well all season. Dream Catcher Bucktail in 'Lime on Lime' was good. Did OK on bondy baits.....

I read over some of the "best colors" list, and had to ask you guys what you think the most productive lure out there is. Got to go with a Medussa or Pounder Bull Dawg.

I'm going to deconstruct this question a little bit.

"What is the most productive lure out there?"
Overall it's an inline bucktail. Why? Guys make more casts with a bucktail when targeting muskies than any other bait.

In my boat it's a DDD. Why? I make more casts with a DDD when targeting muskies than any other bait.

Across the muskie world, if you eliminated the use of bucktails 100% over the course of a season and instead made the same number of casts with a glidebait/crankbait/jerkbait/etc. that are made with bucktails the one that is used the most will be the most productive.

A bait can't be productive if it's not in the water. Inline bucktails are in the water more than any other bait. Overall, they produce the most fish simply because of sheer volume of time they are in the water.
