Posts: 697 Location: Minnetonka | Recently, the Hamernick Family lost everything in a house fire. Most of the MuskieFIRST community knows Jason Hamernick as one of the best Muskie anglers anywhere, and his friends know him as a genuine family man. Friends of the Hamernick Family have organized an auction with the support of much of the Muskie Community. Please click the link below, log in to the auction site, and join us in our effort to make the Holidays for the Hamernicks just a little brighter.
You may also offer a donation without bidding on an item if you would prefer.
Bid often, and please...bid high! Attachments ---------------- Screen_shot_2013-12-08_at_3.44.48_PM_large.png (127KB - 223 downloads)

Posts: 32935 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Just do it. Bid. Or donate a few bucks, even just $5.00. If everyone reading this did so, it would help this family tremendously in their time of need. Tell you what. Donate at least $5.00 and post here after donating. A winner will be selected at random after the auction closes and I'll send them a box of Suick Weagles worth $100.00.

Posts: 458 | The musky world may whine and moan at each other alot but this is really nice to see. I will make sure to hire the guides that have been so generous and buy baits from the folks that donated. Thanks for doing this.

Posts: 4053 Location: Land of the Musky | Feel free to throw a Tackle Industries rod up on the site too. Hammernick took my buddy and I out on the coldest day of the year about 6 years ago and we had a blast! Hope his family is doing well. James PS-I will ship the rod of choice to the winning bidder. (USA shipping only) Andy Hamm, please PM me here with the rod and shipping info.

Posts: 910 Location: South-Central VA | Put Tuscarora Tackle down for a lure package valued at $285. I'll paint up 3 each of my 5.5" shad, 8" minnow and 10" minnow. I'll ship the baits out to the winning bidder. I'll have the baits prepped and ready to paint and I'll custom paint them for the winner. Hammskie and sworrall, PM me if you need any info/etc from me. jeremy

Posts: 697 Location: Minnetonka | Hey guys. Thanks for your continued donations to the silent auction. Currently we're at the 20 item max limit for the free auction site. However I assume some people will be using the "buy it now" feature. If and when they do, I'll enter the next participants in the order I received them. I think there are 5 people in line, inlcuding the guys in this thread. SO GREAT! I'll let you guys know if I need anything else. Thanks again to Steve and Muskie First for helping me promote this here. Bidding starts at noon and goes for a week. Good luck!

Posts: 51 | $10 donated, I live in Indiana and have never met Jason in person. But helping out any muskie fisherman or fishermen in general is well worth my $10. Thanks for helping, evreyone! Jason

Posts: 141 Location: Minnetonka | $20 to Jason and his family. I saw Jason pulling his boat out of Mille Lacs the night of the Nov. full moon this year on my way back to the cities. I couldn't believe that he had been out on that piece of water. My buddy and I had been tucked in a bay on Leech earlier that day and getting tossed around by the 34 MPH gusts, so called it around 2:00, but he was out all day on the pond. The following day was supposed to be much colder, even windier, and snowing, but since he had a client cancel on him, he offered to guide my buddy and me on ML. Too bad it was a Monday and we both had to work. Bottom line, that guy is tough! No doubt he'll make it through this unfortunate situation. I also firmly believe he will catch (or guide someone to) the new state record. My best wishes to the Hamernicks this holiday season!

Location: North Metro, MN | Make room in the auction so I can throw in some baits! They're pretty unique and I only put a few in the local bait shops this year. Some I have not officially released yet too...gotta be someone who would like to try something they haven't seen yet while also supporting this. I'd be glad to help if you need some more items. Please send me a PM or e-mail me at [email protected] for any needed info, thanks -Chico

Posts: 1202 Location: Money, PA | I contacted someone through the website and will be donating 6 Custom Hammer Lures - I don't know the Hamernick family, but as a family man myself, can appreciate what they are going through at this time. I wish them the best and my prayers go out.

Posts: 697 Location: Minnetonka | Several items were bought outright on the auction, but I'm not allowed to take items down and replace them once the auction has started. You'll have to forgive me, as I've never run an online silent auction before. It's amazing, the amount of people that are volunteering their products and services for this great cause. The donations could literally go on forever. My best suggestion at this point would be to help the cause via cash donation. Thank you to all the bidders and donators. The Hamernicks are truly grateful for your participation in the auction. Keep going! There's still a lot of stuff left to bid on!

Posts: 697 Location: Minnetonka | The first few days of the "Help the Hamernicks" silent auction have been amazing. A special thanks to those who bid, bought, and donated their products and services. While I haven't been able to accommodate all who have wanted to donate (quality problem), I have been doing my best to send people in the right direction to do so. So far, the silent auction has raised over $7,000 which will be an amazing help to the Hamernick family during this tumultuous time. Currently there are 4 guide trips remaining, including the Cave Run Adventure Package with lodging and guide trip by Tony Grant! Items also left on the board include two Muskie Buster lure packs, a complete boat detail, a month of dog training and a couple of amazingly low bids on Thorne Bros custom Predator rod/reel combos!! Let's get back out there and close the auction just like it opened. Bidding closes on Wednesday, December 18th at 12:00 noon. Again, thanks to all who have participated in the effort. Andy

Posts: 1283 | I dont have enough to bid on anything since I just had to fix my truck yesterday, but I threw in a 20.00 for a donation. Ramen noodles for dinner tonight is much better than having no home to eat it in. Wishing the best to the Hamernicks and a Merry Christmas! Mike
