Posts: 135 | I have collected antique tackle for over 35 years. When I started musky fishing in 1997, it was only natural to start collecting older Musky Lures. Some of my favorite early Musky Minnows are pictured here: In front a Jamison Musky Nemo, with an adjustable weight to run at different depths, 1910. Second row on left a Heddon Black Sucker Minnow, 1914. Second row on right a Shakespeare Musky Trolling Minnow, 1918. Back row on left a South Bend Muskie Trolling Min-Buck Minnow, 1912. Back row on right a Pflueger Neverfail Muskallonge Trolling Minnow, 1910. As you can see four of the five baits are over 100 years old, what stories they could tell. Posts: 994 Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | You make me feel OLD. I started my collection in 1976, one here one there. Had a real collector come in back in mid 80's and cherry picked my collection. Didn't do that again even though he paid good money for the baits. I have sold a good number off to guys filling a collection of specific baits etc... And I traded away many to get what I thought I needed. I have baits displayed in many ways. Now I am beginning to take photos for prints of some of the old dogs. I have a print in my office and have many people comment on it. Going to start diving them up to my boys, they can store them! Posts: 7058 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Musky3 - your collection looks like my first tackle box!!! Other than 2 on the far right, I think my first set of baits that my father passed down (probably some from his father) were pretty much just that lineup! | ||
