Not trying any BLATANT PROMOTION here or anything....since Slamr and SLAMMER are in no way related or tied....but I did have a chance to fish the drop belly Slammers last year, and at the price they will be sold, and the fact that they run AS GOOD as the HIGHER PRICED GLIDERS out there, thought I would bring this little tid-bit to light.....

For those who are looking for our drop belly glide baits, we will be bringing them to the Milwaukee Musky show at the State fair park on Febuary 7-9th, the Walleye/Musky Expo at the Midwest Express Center in Downtown Milwaukee on Febuary 14-16th, The Madison fishing Expo on Febuary 21-23. The will be there in the 6 standard colors along with the custom Holo form pattern's as well.
With any luck, we should have some of the 8 inch Drop Belly Gliders ready for the Blaine Show on March 7-9th.

Hope to see you at one of these shows!

I will be in line to buy a few. I saw the bait work; it is going to be a fishcatching machine! []

Hey Jenkins, it looks like you have a few more miles on the golden shinner then the perch by looking at the hook groves. Must have been the hot color on the chain from my observation...[;)]

I also have fished a few of the gliders with excellent results. They do catch fish!.One day with fishingfool i had 3 fish on and missed the 4th fish using slammers gliders!

Make sure your box has one!

Good observation Mr. Smith. The golden shiner ROCKED!

The Golden Shiner Drop Belly rocked on Pewaukee also. This is a must have bait boys. I will be looking to buy a hand full of them when I get to the show for sure. They have a great side flash and are weighted perfectly, neutral to very slow sinking. Big fish bait at a reasonable price.[:p]

ToddM, you had better get a mortgage to get some more spending money.
I was at the Slammer World Headquarters Manufacturing center
(Bill's basement)yesterday. The jerkbaits are great, but all the custom colors are going to make them fly off the pegs at Milwaukee Show. I don't know if I have enough storage for all the ones which I will be buying![]

I have to agree with the rest of the other lucky SOG's (politically correct way of talking ) that were able to get their hands on these babies. Mr. Smith was kind enough to let me test drive one in New London's pool last month, and I really liked how it ran and responded. What is really nice is the depth control that you have with it. There's nothing better than a good ole glider that will hang good on the rest and keep walking the depth that you want it to run. Hey Todd M. make sure Steve V. doesn't talk you into buying the whole kit-n-kabootle, I'd like to get my grubs on a few.

catch ya later,
Krappie

Steve V,

Did he have any holoforms made up for the show?

I tried the 6" holo perch model. Great flash on this lure. I can't wait to try it again [;)] []

Jason, 90% of all the baits I saw were holoform finish!

Are there any of other custom colors other than the holoforms? I want to make sure I bring enough cash.

Bring the plastic boys, Bill needs to pay for the new boat. We need quality baits and he needs boat money, looks like its a win win for everyone. SLAMMERS are GOOOOOOD.

Anon,

There is a video that will be up on site in the audio video soon. That is the best way to describe it. It actually does not glide as much as the old Gries Striker. It shimmy's when it turns side to side and is very neutral in the water. Its very easy to work and has tons of flash. Bill had made up some proto types this spring and we had a blast with them and guess what....the fish ate them.[:p]

From another "users" perspective on this bait.....I had action on the Slammer 8" Drop Belly on NASTY cold front days working it SLOW SLOW SLOW. I would tap the line, let it glide then wobble (big time "shake" at the end of the glide), pause, then tap again. Methodical approach yes, but worked for me.

First off, I would like to thank everyone who stopped by this past weekend and helped us sell out of them! Thank you!!!!!!

I will not have any ready for the show this coming weekend or for the Madison Fishing Expo.

However, I will be picking up another 400 bodys from the Laser shop tonight and they should be done for the Blain show next month.

Hope to see you there!

Bill,
I can't make the Blaine show, but if I and others want to get a few out of this big ole lot of 400, how can we order them direct from you?
