| I was thinking about starting to listening to the radio when fishing, the thing i was wondering was do you think having the radio on about talking loud scares fish? |

but if I'm up north and the guy across the point is blaring Seek & Destroy it kind of ruins it for me... I travel up north of the ambiance & fishing. Please show a little respect to the other people out there trying to enjoy nature’s best. |

Location: Contrarian Island | i have the stereo on 80% of the time....once in a while at night we turn it off if we are throwing topwater, the speakers are situated such that even if it's pretty loud in the boat, a boat a cast length away is not gonna hear it.. fish don't care if it's on. |

Location: menasha wi 54952 | At certain times I enjoy having the stereo on especially when you need a song or two to get you going. The fish dont care. I always keep it down or shut it off when others are in the area. Its mainly used for family cruising or days at the beach. Make sure you spend the money to get a quality system or you will just pay more in the future. I would recommend PYLE Hydra 100% waterproof products. They have everything you can think of. Mine really rocks. |

Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | I've always wanted to put a stereo in my boat but have not just because of encountering some of the wake board boats that are blaring out music. It's not the type of tune it is the volume. I agree use an I pod, music on your phone, headset if you can. I want to hear nature. In MN we spend all winter with very little moving outside, man I want to soak it up. |

Or not. I almost always have the radio on and always have the volume on low. If another boat can hear it, they're too close. I would never use a headset as you still need to hear what's going on around you. Be considerate, there is no need to blare it like some of those wakeboard boats. More like a light background noise than anything.

Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Good tunes in my boat. Casting I almost always have the tunes on. Sometimes it can keep you energized and upbeat when the bite is on the slow side. I have had muskies follow in and go around the 8 with the tunes cranking. They don't care on metro lakes. Maybe on a calm quiet morning you wil need to keep it down but if its windy I got them going and rockin out. |

| Anyone else see the recent study on reaction time due to distractions ? Focus of course was safe driving but delayed reaction time was evident even with just a radio on. Might be a GOOD thing for daylight topwater strikes. |
