| What are some ice updates out there? I heard 24-28 in northern Minnesota as of today.

Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | 30+ Inches plus a foot of snow on Vermilion and we are going to get 6-10" of snow .
May 11 is walleye opener here.......... It doesn't look good....... It snowed every day for the last 10 days

| Was up in MERCER , WI over the weekend--came home tuesday----24+ inches of ICE with snow still on top also---I would say absolutely no way by MAY 4 looking at the long range forecast. . |

| I talked to a friend on Eagle lake Ontario this week. They still have about 30 inches of ice and 18 or so inches of snow. Thoughts were that even if weather gets "nice" that they will still not have fishing before walleye opener set for May 18th. I have never fished here in the spring but both resorts and guests may have to change their fishing outlook week to week depending on the weather over the next 4-6 weeks. |

Location: SE, WI. | Pewaukee opened 10 days ago, with the heavy rains. The water temp is 39 degrees as of today, 4/20...:( With close to 10 inches of rain this month, the rock and crawfish rivers off I-94 have taken over much of the nearby corn fields...crazy weather. JD |

Location: Sawyer County, WI | Over the past 58 years, the lake where our cabin is averages ice out on approximately April 15th. The earliest ice out over that period of time was last year on March 21st. During that same period, the latest ice out was on May 4, 1996.
That "latest out" record is going to get blown out of the water (ice) this year for sure. I'm hoping for no later than May 15.
