There will be 9 custom Bondy Bait colors in the regular size and the magnum at this show. I think it is a concept everyone will be doing by next year....

Personally I think it is a brilliant move, and I applaud the guys at The Musky Shop for doing it. Thanks Jon for your input and I'm looking forward to seeing the new colors for this season.

Attendance at the muskie shows has been stable to up. No threat, just opportunity for those who can't get to the show.

And an opportunity for R&H to reach an audience they otherwise would never reach. I've asked this before and never really got an answer, but is there one less thing anyone will be able to see at the show, or buy at the show, with R&H not having a booth?

More than likely , bait making components will not be available from many other vendors. Such as blades, beads, wire...etc. I have always bought this stuff at the show to make baits over the winter. R&H will be missed if this is the case. Thorne's may have some ,but surely not the selection R&H brought.

Muskie show after muskie show, I always stopped and bought something at R&H. Great place to shop. Yes, some unique lure building components.

But like Herbie says, people like to touch and see what they are purchasing.

I remember once I ordered a yellow bucktail from them, and they sent a brown one. Ah Yes!!! Frustrating!!! Thats internet purchasing at times.

Guess some other vendor will benefit from my dollar this year, BUT hope R&H  are back next year...:-(

What benefit is there for R&H to actually attend the show? Amazing how many threads their move has generated, be curious to see how much traffic it has created for their site so far. BR

I live in PA and have traveled 3 times to Chicago for the show. Awesome time. But no way can I get there every year. For guys who live in areas of the country that make traveling to Chicago or Minnesota or Milwaukee difficult at best, this is a very interesting option. Getting to order show colors or show deals is great for us.

Do I think this would replace musky shows. No. But for those of us hundreds or even thousands of miles away, I am excited to see the possibilities.

I'd like to see this virtual show be a huge success and hope the servers don't crash! Free shipping is awesome too.
I would say anyone who logs into this "historical event" will buy something.

On the other hand, I don't have to go to the show to know how a Bondy, Bulldawg, Grandma,Suick , or any other bait I like feels in my hands.
All due respect to the vendors.

No one said it was gonna take over the the shows an completely shut down shows for good.for one I'm not gonna spend $500 just to get out there let alone touch a few baits. I'm sure the shows are sick as hell wish I could afford the trip, but with a child on the way this will be great for a guy like me..Its nice to get some custom colors an baits for ones like myself who can't attend. Just wanna thank R&H hope it's a success

And those who choose not to buy at the Virtual show can buy at the Milwaukee Muskie Expo. The Musky Shop will be there.

Pretty cool. I haven't had a chance to check out any of the video seminars but was impressed by the selection of customs and other good deals. I had to place an order for a couple things at least. Nice job Musky Shop. See you in Milwaukee!

Thanks for all the feedback guys. To answer a question that came up, you can connect to the regular R&H site and shop there as well from the Show site. It will all go in the same shopping basket and you WILL receive free shipping on the total order. It may be worth your while to check out the introduction video at the beginning that explains a lot of the questions that have come up. If you have specific questions or need help just call us and we'll do our best to help you. Phone at the shop is (800) 453-5224. Thanks.

Gotta love that free shipping, especially for the stuff not in the show! I like the idea of an online show. I am in Arkansas and cannot make, nor justify going to, any shows. It's cool to be able to see the new baits and get some good deals. An idea for future online shows, have an online live seminar. The clips are great and inspired me to get Tom Gelb's book. But, a live online seminar would be great. You can stream them from Youtube. It may be cost prohibitive, but would be great seeing a longer presentation.

Picked up a cpuple Alpha dwags, my need to go back tomorrow for a Bondy bait or something completely different. I would be interested in seeing how this works and if the Musky Shop is happy at the end of the weekend. At least there is nothing to pack up and bring back from Chicago

Do the alpha dogs weigh the same as mags or closer to a pounder? Thanks.

Will more customs and/or other exhibit vendors be added over the weekend?
