Here is my client from today. We were jigging Bondy's. He boats a 56" last fall, and this 55" today. I told him to buy a lottery ticket.

Mr. Bondyi, Did that beast hit it with slack in the line or did he get a "Bondy Crush" strike?... ( Bone jarring strike nearly tipping the boat over and pulling the angler into the drink) LOL!

It was just a bump he said! I seriously thought he had snagged a sturgeon because it would just not come to the top. Right after the release we took this shot to judge the size against a Bondy original size.

Wow! Incredible fish.
I was on the river today too. Black crestliner.
We got a fat 42"er on a white magnum bondy bait. It was tough today for us. I have really lost my mojo this fall:(
Also saw Pete maina on the water. They got one that looked big. They were hooting and hollering while filming. It was entertaining.
You sure have those fish dialed in.

Wow what a beast! I actually heard about that 56" from some of the guys around city marina last year! Looks like another home run this year!

Nice Fish! Congrats to Jon and his client!

Pete was out with Schram and another guy. Schram posted some pics on Facebook of a few good fish.

Total zoo down there recently and after getting skunked down there last weekend we've decided to fish somewhere peaceful and quiet tomorrow.

I agree. Too many boats there this year. That's what all the Internet chatter causes. There was very little talk about st Clair a few years ago on the net. Now tv shows and the intense publicity on st Clair is ridiculous.

Yep & that spot isn't the only one that's got exploited on SC. I have a hard time enjoying myself fishing out there now with all the musky boats. It's almost like fishing the Spring walleye run on the Detroit River with all the boats.

There are so many spots that produce big numbers of big fish on LSC, that no one even fishes. The only people who are complaining are the guys who only fish 1 or 2 spots on the entire lake, who someone told them where to fish 10-15 years ago, and now those spots are busy on 50 degree days in mid-November. No one is out there fishing when it's really cold or windy either....not even the two go-two spots on the lake in the fall.

There are so many spots on that lake that never get touched that always produce. So, go find them.

We fished "the run" this weekend on the south side, and between two boats and 4 fisherman, we caught 29 fish. So, even the pressured spots are still pouring out fish.

Ya there's plenty of other spots but if you don't have the boat that can make the run to those spots then you are limited. Not everyone gets to pick their days to fish & if the weather isn't on your side the boat you have might not allow you to fish in rough conditions. Plus not everyone trolls.

We weren't trolling either.

You mention having a smaller boat. Sounds like you are complaing about your equipment. Be thankful you have a boat. Be thankful it's on LSC. They have shoreline musky fishing touraments on LSC, where people can only fish from shore and there are multiple 50's caught.

I only fish up there on Saturdays mostly. And get up there about 1 time a month. Trailer your boat somewhere and find something new. There are launches EVERYWHERE. There are spots waiting to be discovered. Go find them.

Very few public shore spots on Michigan side & the few they have are shallow water & don't hold musky. The Thames River gets that yearly migration so the musky are easy pickens compared to other spots. Trailering my boat to the other side of the lake gets costly, especially when my fair weather friends won't fish in the colder weather so no one to share in the costs.
