Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | Hello all, I am thinking about picking up something for this fall in regards to a BIG jerk bait. Just wondering for those who use big jerk baits what your preference is? I am leaning towards a 12" suick, but also looking at gliders and wobblers over 10" as well. Will be fishing a mainly clear lake with A lot of mil foil. Thanks in advance. |

| I like to use bulldawgs and super ds as jerkbait a and they work great. The magnum ones are the ones that I have had the most luck on by far. But you can go wrong with using big plastics as jerkbaits. |

I am not a huge fan of working big rubber, I don't own a pounder rod for it either... But in perspective Jerking big rubber (though I do, do it...) is probably my least favorite way to fish. I know that in the fall it becomes key... but I try to stay away from it, just never had a ton of success with it personally. |

| Alright that's fine we all have our tendencies and preferences. A jerkbait I like personally is the Burt by musk mainia tackle. I don't think they make it in the bigger sizes you are looking for but I have had a lot of success with it in the fall. |

| weighted bobbie bait . you can pop it off the surface or work it a little harder and faster to get it down.

Location: Hayward WI | How about the 12" softtail phantom, I'm a fan of the 7.5"ers, the 12" is 14oz.

| ive had a lot of success on the 10" hellhounds...they're like throwing a brick but are a no brainer to work. I also have a 10" phantom though it hasn't seen fish it looks great in the water. Im not sure how the bigger dive and rise jerks work but I know Dan Hughes at Lunge Lumber makes a 10.5" and 12" jerk. |

if your willing to spend the money there is not a better jerk bait then a 12" TrueGlide Rumor. |

Location: Central Minnesota | I was lucky enough to win the badwater baits giveaway and they sent me a 10 inch cabbage ghost and i love it already. Threw it for the first time this weekend and although I didn't catch one with it yet it moved a big girl a couple times. It has a great dying fish action. Pick one up you won't be sorry. |

Location: Wakefield, MI | I got a black 12" weighted Suick on Saturday, tried it out on Sunday. Had a follow on it but no fish yet, my dad has had a few hits on an orange one with black dots. I have had good luck with 9" and 10" weighted Suicks so I figure a 12" should be good in the fall. The action on it is great, gets a good dive and rises really slow.
I also have a big Bobby Bait (my dad calls it Robert after Rays brother on Everybody Loves Raymond), have caught fish on it but it needs weight, it rises way to fast for my liking. My dad actually caught a low 30's musky on it, broke his line, and the fish couldn't hold it under water and floated up. My dad went over and unhooked it and the fish swam away fine.
Also bought a 11" Sledgehammer this weekend but only took a few casts with it. No opinion yet. |

Location: Walker, MN | +2 on the 10" Hellhound. I like to w.t.d. half way in and then just start crankin it fast. It will glide back and forth even when you just burn it in. Treat it like a bucktail on the figure 8... fish like to turn on it. |

| Regarding the Wades, are you guys talking about the ones that have a body about 8" long and an inch wide, or the real big ones that have a body about 10" long and are about 1.5 in. wide?

| I like 10" inch by 1 1/2 inch wades with the hair on the back treble hook. Weighted and unweighted are both great lures. I personally have had more luck with the unweighted. That hair on the back is a great teaser.

Location: mad chain | Up North, I just want to say I fish with a lot of guys in this business and Jeff is one of them, he is not in this to promote anything unless it works and works well for him. He is the most honest guy you will ever meet and sometimes a little to honest. If he is posting about the same baits all the time then I would say you better get some cuz they are working. Why is it if someone is honest and tells about what they use they get called out??? Thanks for the great info Jeff keep it up!!!

Look similar to the phantoms but work totally different and helped me boat my personal best this fall. He also will custom make any pattern you want. I'd be happy to send you pictures of the many lures that I have of his, excellent quality, you would not be disappointed!
