Fished some, this evening.
No luck. The last few times out, in the last couple of weeks, have been slow, for me!!
Water temps where 63 degrees, today, in big bay.

Spent the day Saturday in Fraser Bay, Oak Narrows area. Water temps ranged from 63 to 65. Didnt fish muskies much, more or less a boating day for the family. Caught a few walleyes and had a pesky smallmouth swipe at my 7" viper 3 times.
The water is uncharacteristically dark, couldnt see bottom in 2 feet of water. Not used to that. Recently the musky fishing has been poor according to the reports we had been hearing so we didnt try much, but spent a couple hours Sat evening with no results.

I am heading up next Tuesday and talked to a friend who guides on V last weekend. He said the same, water temps in the low 60's both sides and an erratic bite. But, with the cooling weather the water temps could reach mid 50's. But the forecast has changed since then.

Terribly slow and close/in turnover in parts of the lake, I'd find a different lake to fish

Was up there this past weekend, signs of turnover or a late bloom? Fished weeds and got some follows but they just didn't seem to want to eat.

Definitely a bloom. Some parts of the lake look like someone poured a bunch of green koolaid in the lake. Water temp said 57. I'm new to musky fishing, so I don't know much about turnover. I didn't see much stuff floating in the water, but water clarity was way down in areas not having a bloom. But the water was real green and the outside weed edges had a lot of gunk on the weeds. The weeds inside the edge were pretty green. I didn't fish much rock, as I was alone and it was windy as hell. But I did have a follow and another one bit the tail on a bulldawg. According to a resort owner, the fishing is slow, but people are catching them. He said someone caught a 49 inch today. Forecast for Thursday looks bleak for fishing Thursday when a guide friend was going to take me out. So, it looks like I have to stick with LM when I go home to Arkansas.

I don't think so. Friend of mine had 44-45 on most parts of Big Bay Sunday as well. Did find some ciscos a ways out on one spot, but for the most part he said they really weren't staging up off of any structures yet. And did not contact any fish either. Just a tad early and the full moon next week should bring em (ciscos) in.

Last Sat. the temps were at 45*,.... but the water temps has risen 5-7* in 3 days due to 2 sunny days and air temps @65- 44* at night.

Cisco's , and Whitefish won't spawn just because of the upcoming full moon...... The water temps have to be just right for that to happen..

Didn't say or even imply that they would with just a full moon. With temps going the way they were it was looking good, now it's touch and go.

Dear guest, it is not like mille lacs nets spanning 100 yards long! It is small nets with markers that you can see. Anyone that wants to get a netting license can net for whiteys...probablty best if you dont go near the nets!

Whitefish nets will be out for 2 weeks and are marked with the person's name and address/phone # Don't go near them... They are supposed to check them every 24hrs.
MM,mmmmm,mmm ,...Smoked Whitefish.

Interesting, nets don't discriminate -you would think they would catch a fair number of walleye's and such as well? Not a netting expert but wouldn't you potentially have other dead fish if only checking every 24 hrs?
