Thanks guys...These are 6" baits. I'm also currently working on an 8" model.

Appreciate the comments and would hope other basement guys would share any new patterns they came up with over the summer.

I can't believe there's a musky bait painted for a Steel Panther song! The funniest part is a female co-worker was the first one to play that song for me. LMAO!

Awesome looking lures. I know a while back I asked for different angled shots and it seemed to hit a spot that led to a hint of piracy more or less. Don't worry about me. When you are making a new lure, especially a nice one with a very unique body styles like yours, I don't blame you, it happens to everybody, but I won't do it. I admire other people's work like yours when you come up with a unique idea and good paint jobs, and if there's something that makes me puke, it's copying. That's not why I wanted to see different angles, I was just impressed.
One thing that I wanted to say is that I have been painting a "Black Pearl" for years. Very few and all for my daughter and all signed,"Johnny Depp". My Black Pearl is painted like a Mother of Pearl except on a Black Pearl backround, with metallic blues, purple and pinks with just a mist of white pearl over it....and a skull and cross-bones on her hind quarters.

I don't recall that Beaver...I don't mind showing the various angles of the bait. My original intention was to create something different in a crankbait, but soon came to the realization that theres really only so much you can do and that pretty much everything has been done. However, I believe that I have come up with a solid design along with a unique action finalized with a quality finish....what more can one want? Oh wait, I know....a price tag of $10 right? LOL Well, thats not going to happen, especially considering the work involved in making these things; as I'm sure you are fully aware as a bait maker. I certainly have NO hard feelings in case you were thinking that.

The Black Pearl came about simply because I just hate painting a plain black lure....Its pretty simple, but the origina Black Pearl I painted was for my son....He wanted something reminding him of "The Balck Pearl" for his first trip to St. Clair....I'll try to dig that pattern up....funny you mention it, because I had a metallic aqua blue in that pattern.

Top one is the first Black Pearl I did...Also included another custom I did for a friends lady friend.

I finally got around to digging out my camera and took a shot of The Black Pearl. All of the colors were done with Kameleon Kolors, so the change color every time the light hits them from a different angle.
The others were done with Figured CA Redwood and 2 coats of Envirotex, God did the rest. I did add a very small dusting of xtra fine gold glitter to the last batch of ETex. Next time I'll stir in more, but I really didn't want to cover any of the figuring in that wood. It's too beautiful for that.
I have some more of that CA Redwood in the works, doing Sucker shaped gliders with it. You can't paint a pattern like that.
