Location: Ogden, UTAH 10 minutes from pineview reservoir | i have all of the ones listed below, i have moved fish on the warlock and only one on the phantom soft tail and nothing on the squirko. The warlock seems to be the more erratic out of the listed lures above... any other erratic gliders or dive and rise baits that come to mind? |

| for erratic dive and rise i like the sledge, its caught me some nice fish, i have a warlock and its super erratic and looks awesome in the water but haven't given it enough time because i'm always using my phantom softies. They're the most consistent producer for me. |

| If you want an erratic glider, I would suggest picking up one of the smaller 6" Crane Jerkbaits. R&H have them online and I'm sure other places up north have them as well. They can be worked slow to get your typical walk-the-dog action or you can work them quickly with short taps or reel turns to get them to be extremely erratic. For me, they have generated a lot of reaction strikes and they are tough as nails. |

Location: Okoboji | well by saying erratic that would eliminate the hellhound lol...them things are automatic machines. well i would say if you bang a phantom it is kind of erratic, the warlock as stated before is pretty crazy so it would probally take the cake as far as erratic goes. You might want to try some handmade baits like the modivator, timberwolf, treats, or the outlaw that are made on here by fellow m1 members.....i am dieing to try a modivator, i just have to get my hands on one lol... |

Location: Buffalo Grove, IL | Modivators are really nice lures. I have 9 or 10 of them. They glide really well side to side. You can get them to be erratic, but it takes more effort. Great baits, but I would describe them more as a smooth glider. |

Location: Ogden, UTAH 10 minutes from pineview reservoir | thanks for all the input, the reason i ask is because i fished sunday and moved 21 fish and only boated 1. I moved 17 fish on a black perch musky magnet, warlock, softtail phantom, storm kicking stick and bulldawg. 3 hook ups on the magnet and 1 on the bulldawg. The musky magnet is an awesome erratic lure and was what i caught the tiger on. i would recommend the musky magnet |

| Try a Trueglide Tremor. It moves like the offspring of a suick and glider. There really isn't anything else like it. The only bad part is they are hard to get and command a pretty high price tag. |

Location: Madtown, WI | Nobody has mentioned the Undertaker yet? Can't believe it. By far the best erratic glidebait I've ever used. Reef hawgs and eddies are good too, but you usually need to buy a few to get one good one. Squirko's are great too but I don't always want to throw something so big. Baby Squirko's also great, but seems like every cast takes 10 mins with those things.
Hellhounds, phantoms and Mantas are great for consistent side to side action but are far from erratic. I typically use an Undertaker from opener till temps start to fall. Then it's Hellhound season. |

| Hellhound can get really erratic, just need to use it that way.... Squirko is my favorite though, they move fish when nothing else will. |

I wouldn't call the Modivator an erratic glider but you can get it to do some neat things. Great wobble on these on the glide and even more wobble on the pause. They run a lot deeper than most sub surface gliders. I still haven't tried my Modivator Jr's to see how deep they run (should be shallower than the regular size) and I have a 10" Hardtail coming to me soon (should work as deep or deeper than the regular size). |

I have a 10" Hardtail coming to me soon (should work as deep or deeper than the regular size).
The 10's work a lot deeper and sink fast. They also attract much bigger fish as would be expected. And to top it all off Ben is a great guy to deal with. Modivators are my favorite glide bait, but then again I like the smoother, more predictable side-to-side gliders. I have seen Ben work the bait erratically though by adding a quick, hard pull-up of the rod. It makes the bait jump up quick and then fall off and wobble down. |

A few of you guys have said this now and I disagree. Not sure how you guys are using your hellhounds, but they can be worked very erractically. Vary the cadence and vary force of your jerks and they are about as erratic as they come. Even on the death pause, these baits will shimmer, shake and wobble.
Hellhounds have become my go-to gliders...you can use them fast or slow, deep, shallow, erratic, or with a standard rhythmic back and forth. Good hooking %'s as well. |

| I always did really well with Pig Jr's working them fast and erratic in the summer, and then all my stuff got stolen out of my boat and by that time odyssey was out of business. Got my hands on a few, but would love to get an orange bellied perch. |

Location: Okoboji | what?!? hellhounds have got to be the worst hook % glider out there right behind the manta and sorry they are not erratic, if you consider a fast spaz walk return erratic then i suggest you try a warlock and you will see the difference. |

Location: Right behind you (tap, tap) BOOO | Definitely check out the Hot Tail Gliders customs sold on here from RIVER MUSKY... Hands down my go to glider this year, great random erratic action, can be worked fast or slow, depth control is super easy. Give them a shot if you can get your hands on one, total worth it.
