Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Already got my dream fish on the full moon late October out East. Will be hard to ever beat that 50# plus beast. My dream now is to be able to call up all my clients and tell them the water temps have droped and ''It's On Again''. Losing a weeks worth of income sucks, the second week was harder but the forecast looks like it will be a month before I can get back in my boat and start guiding again. No dream here. More like a nightmare. Better to be an example, even though it hits the wallet hard. Will it ever rain again here in southeastern Wisconsin? Only 3.1 inches in over 70 days and the hottest stretch of weather I can remember.

The corn around here is a total loss and beans heading that way too. Trying figure out how to get the cattle through this without using up all the feed for the winter ahead... It's been too hot to fish local lakes since the beginning of June it's starting to get really old. Will it ever rain again here in southeastern Wisconsin? Only 3.1 inches in over 70 days and the hottest stretch of weather I can remember. Oh, Dream fish for now a big girl with a head about 10" wide! Edited by Farmer Rick 7/16/2012 7:46 AM

Posts: 829 Location: Maple Grove, MN | All the Muskies I have caught this year have been in my dreams. ![]() My left shoulder is causing me much trouble and I've been staying off the water letting it heal so not to injure it further. I'm seeing a shoulder specialist next week to see what can be done to make it better. I am also setting up one of my Salt Water spinning rods with super line so I can at least cast smaller Muskie baits. I mostly use my right shoulder with spinning rods and while it is not ideal, its better than not fishing at all.

Herb, why not buy a reel with the handle on the other side and learn to cast over your other shoulder?? It would be clumsy at first, but at least you could fish...

Posts: 4343 Location: Smith Creek | Mine isn't so much a what but where. I'll be on the Turtle Flambeau in November and catch a 40+ pounder. Clean green eating machine. I'd rather catch a 40 there than a 50 in Green Bay or MN.

Posts: 829 Location: Maple Grove, MN | esoxaddict, That is a good idea. I have been looking at left-handed bait-cast reels some, but not seriously. You're right in that might be best.

Posts: 1039 | Hey Herb, I sent you a PM regarding your shoulder. Give ART therapy a try (Active Release Technique) and you could get that shoulder back to new. It worked on my right elbow in only two sessions. Doctor said surgery, 2 ART visits later, I'm all better.
