Anyone have any info as far as whats going on in Indiana? Haven't seen much posted & heard they did a major weed kill on Webster towards the end of spring that did away with just about all of the weed beds. Supposedly, the fish have gone into a complete FUNK since then? Can anyone confirm this?? Also, has anyone fished Tippy lately & know the temps? Thanks to all in advance

Fig8----fished Webster hard over the weekend-----Friday and Staurday were slow----Sunday rocked-----had several fiah on suckers and casting blades--- 8 I think total. Water temps were 53 on Friday/ Saturday----down to 48 by Sunday am. water is murky on the main lake. Baitfish are starting to ball up in the deep holes----good fishing is coming-----Jobu

Don't have the pick to post right now but I took a pick of the Webster ramp mid morning on Sunday. Totally empty. Used to be this time of year if you were not launched by sunup you were not launching there. Speaks volumes for how the fishing has been there this season.

Fig8,

Webster had a major weed kill last Fall and it hasn't gotten back on track since. I have literally only fished Webster twice this whole year...once prefishing for a tournament and the other fishing the tournament. Yes, there are still fish to be caught there but I have found better on other lakes.

Don't let the lack of pressure fool you-----people are still fishing Webby. Most of the area guides are pounding the other lakes(thanks guys) so it leaves more fish---and more open community spots for my baits to drift across. If Sunday was an indication of things to come---- Webster is gonna EXPLODE before ice up hits----hope the bait stores don't run out of suckers. As a side note, it was nice not having to fight for a parking space in that already overcrowded lot---Jobu

The lakes are still awesome---- you need to re-think some techniques, but the big fish are still there. we got 4 on those small suckers last weekend. If you travel to the MOST EDUCATED fishery on the planet---you better bring your A-GAME. I never knew a musky fisherman that was adverse to alittle "hard work" in order to find fish. The weed kills have ALWAYS been a hot topic---they have both pros and cons for EVERYONE---not just the lakeowners assoc. The fish are still there----still swimming-----and still biting----- so they're alittle wiser than they were in the past----- that's our new reality. Thanks to everyone who believes it's a dead sea right now-----means more fish in my boat this November----Jobu

i think i'm done with indiana musky. went out on the chain for the first time this year with my brother and was drifting on the chain up to a point and with the strong wind and my trolling motor was acting up. heard someone say"ain't no @#$% ing way i'm moving from here home boy" and saw boat coming from the other way i thought to myself, you know what? these fish aren't worth it. makes me want to stay away from these fish. it's only a stupid fish!!

Hey Karol---- sorry to hear about the trolling motor troubles----- I've tried to exorcise those demons in my own boat---- I think I need a bigger PRIEST---haha! Don't give up on those Indy skis just yet---- it's gonna rebound-----and you're gonna want to be there when that happens. I was " out in the big blow" too----a true boat control nightmare. One trick I use is to ------shrink down my fishing area into smaller sections( preferably less windy areas) and work the area more thoroughly-------yes it can be tedious----- but there's always---almost always some fish looking to get out of the wind----and sometimes it takes alittle extra time to get these guys to bite. OR---there's the other approach---throw caution to the wind, literally----toss out a couple of big drift socks and work your regular haunts---live bait helps immensely at this time-----had a 48 munch a 6 inch sucker from underneath a drift sock------really cool to watch. As far as the unneecessary rudeness goes----you're better off just letting it go---why ruin your day if someone else wants to display their ignorance. Hope your motor problems get resolved---Jobu

No Fallon--sorry-----I was on Webster Sat and Sunday------it was like someone flipped a switch about 10:30 am Sunday-----we had three strikes in 4 passes on the same spot---it doesn't get much hotter than that for musky action. We saw fish consistently all day throwing jerks and suckers. Good luck---Jobu

Everyone can keep fishing the chain and webster all they want I'm never going back. I don’t care if dnr confirms 5 58 inch musky were caught in a week. People are irritating to say the least around that area sometimes. I have given the area numerous chances with several people and the consensus is the same. It never fails I'm working a fish on an 8 and I have 10 boats start trying to push me out. Not to mention the 100’s of ritzy homeowners with their ski boats cutting me off all day long. The lake has no scenery and no bank structure just a huge concrete bowl is what it reminds me of. Webster isn’t getting any more of my money I’ll go the extra miles to Wisconsin where every musky isn’t aware of the newest custom color from every lure manufacturer. Get ahold of me Karol I’ll take you fishing sometime. Sorry Slamir if this is too harsh it's just my opinion.

Fish where you are comfortable, don't fish where you don't want to. Really simple.

You think that few, fallon? 199 -----I think you're being conservative on that estimate---haha-----maybe 199 on Backwater----there you're "dead on"! Good luck to ya----Jobu

We spent Sunday on Tippy with that wicked wind. The water temps were hovering around the 50 degree mark. Tough day on the water, but we managed to boat a 39incher and that was the only fish we saw all day.

We boated one as well----had some good rips on suckers and had some decent follows on blades. It would be nice if the water cleared up before the end of the season but I'm not gonna hold my breath on that one. Water temps were hangin around 49-50 on the main lake and 44-46 in the backwater shallows. Gonna get cold for a few days after Tuesday--that should help!! Good luck---Jobu

Went out on Sunday, I caught a 46" and about 10 minutes later my father boated a girthy 47". The fishing was extremely tough the majority of the day. Definitely have to be ready for those feeding windows. I wonder if my wife will be angry when I tell her I am skipping Thanksgiving dinner to go musky fishing.
