I don't want to start too much controversy, but what are some baits made exclusively in the US? Is there even such a thing since most of the components are made overseas?

I believe Eagle Claw hooks are still made in the USA?   If so, WoodBridge Bay Tackle’s baits are completely made in the USA.  They were designed, prototyped, molds made, parts injection molded, custom hand painted, hooked with Wolverine Split rings, and packaging all done in the good ol’ USA.  We make the MDR Chopper that we’re in the process of introducing and the Molly Bait that we’ll be making available again soon.

As far as components you can still get all made in the USA for the most part. Eagle claw hooks, HEB screweyes, Worth and I think Wolverine split rings, paint is easy, Epoxy coating - multiple brands, blades - Worth and Lakeland and eyes from Withchcraft.

Good question

I use Mustad (made in China now) and Owner (made in Japan) hooks. I don't know where Hedron produces their flashabou. Some of the 3D eyes are from Thailand. Rest of the components on my spinnerbaits are made in USA.

All work are done here in US. Should I say: Partially made in USA or made in USA (some imported components) or made from 75% of made in USA components I'm really confused

In regards to Mepps I believe some of the tails are tied in the Dominican Replublic or one of those island countries down there.

Actually, I believe all of the tails are tied in the factory OR by little old women at home working for Mepps. I know for a fact most of their brass lure components are made in Germany. Everything is assembled in Antigo, WI though.

Musky Mayhem, not sure about all components though

I had heard about a year ago that Musky Mayhem products are now made in China. I looked on the packaging of the Cowgirls at Cabelas & it didn't state where they were made.

Bondy Baits are poured in Canada, with all the parts from the US, including the packaging. No overseas production.

+1

I heard something similar last summer.  I do not know if there's any truth to it but they do not disclose on their packaging where the product is manufactured.  Generally speaking (of all products these days), if they aren't proud of it being made and manufactured in the USA... then chances are, it's made somewhere overseas.
