I'm looking forward to the new Lee Lures Mini Choppers, 4" Phantoms, and Mini Medussas. There's finally some smaller stuff coming out on the market this year for, which I think will be perfect for the pathetic fish I have in my area. I hope to be getting a new 9' TI rod so I can give that a try as well.

My favorite new bait is the 5" Baker Bait, wood shad style crankbait that is built with very high quality. Not only are they built tough, they are airbrushed to perfection, the foil ones rock.
Yes,they catch some big fish as well!

I have some gliders that I can't wait to try, one is from Yvonne Grise from Quebec and the other two from MuskyFix. The one from Ben I had him custom paint for me for a certain body of water we fish here later in the fall. A Salmo Sweeper and a couple of photo finished Krave Jr's (red shiner? and an orange bellied perch) round out so far the lures I've gotten new and can't wait to try. There might be a homemade glider included in another package of lures I am waiting for to arrive also.

The wide glide is a hard bait to use I for one do not like it. I also tried a sebile magic swimmer it rocks can't wait to use it in shallow water situations. Also got a sebile stick shadd like it too. Also got a few wileys and TI nokens can't wait to try them trolling although I hate trolling but that's how they are caught in my area

The only "new" bait I got this year is the 10 inch DDD. Very interested to see how it does.

Apparently I am the only one excited to throw the Mag Twisted Tullibees I picked up in Milwaukee. Other than that I am also very excited to use my new XXH TI telescoping rod. I have thrown mag dawgs the past few seasons and finally have the equipment to be able to step it up with some pounders in the mix. I've also been throwing cowgirls but have picked up a couple supermodels to try this year.

In addition, I have about 20 basement baits I made this year that need testing. Everything from topwaters, cranks, spinnerbaits, gliders, to a couple of hardhead copies.

Thanks very much Captain Larry! Besides some foils I have been able to stash away for myself it would have to be the new glider sent to me from a buddy that trades me in Virginia. He makes baits but is super small time. I met him from fishing tournaments and he is a really good stick. I have never seen a bait w/ so much big fish appeal than this new big glider. Thing must weigh 8 oz. I would love to show a pic but promised not to as he has some plans on selling them in the future. Big ole glider that is darn near bullet proof. Some of those boys down south can make some nasty baits! Other than that glider it has to be a new 10" musky rocket from Rodney Jones in Michigan. Rodney can paint to say the least! Last year my first 50" of the year came on a foiled musky rocket from him in June and I have been hooked on his baits since. Very expensive baits but they are super good. I have thinned out my selection to just about 50 confidence baits from the tons I used to drag out w/ me and never fished. Just about all are wood baits except for my new big ole glider from Va and some tooth scared Perchbaits that I'd never leave at home. I try to support all the small guys making super quality baits one at a time. I really think that the best lures come out of peoples basements, most aren't readily available and I like it that way.

MartinTD - Would like to know how your Hardhead copies turned out, I kind of know how they work and always interested in learning more.

Me I got all kinds of things hanging around in the basement I will be trying.

The new Double Dawg, Twisted Tullibee, & Shadillac that I bought at the Michigan show. I'm going crazy not being able to use the new lures I bought.

I'm regretting not buying any of his baits at the show. My buddy dragged me out of there before I could spend my last dollar. I'll be ordering some once I get the tax refund back.

Curious to see how the whopper plopper sounds and holds up to use. Don't have one yet, but the big Hellhound will be pretty sweet.

Looking forward to fishing in heavy rain so I can see how my storm suit holds up,also had some old baits painted up by tylers basement baits that I used to use a lot but they came with bad paint jobs so they would chip easily, they should hold up now for more than one fish.also looking forward to using my hardheads

Looking forward to trying out the baby jerko/squirkos in the spring and the holographic squirkos. Bought one of the Acid Frog dawgs at the show. Will look good when the water gets stained. Also anxious to try out the hardhead that I got from this site.
