I'm just outside Beer Town, and it's beautiful here. I'm thinking about taking the afternoon off to hit some balls and squeeze in a quick 18.

Not too bad up here near Hayward, WI. I think we have highs in the teens the next few days, and it doesn't sound like TOO much snow predicted. I hope we don't get a lot - a lot more will make driving around the lakes tough.

Just out of curiosity, what does one that lives in MN or WI consider to be a lot of snow?

I would say anything more than six inches in one storm is alot of snow.

Sunny and bitter here. No snow from this new system on the way yet, could get a few inches. I'll be shooting video tomorrow and Thursday on the ice, so I hope it's cloudy without alot of wind.

No clue. I cannot see 5 ft outside my window. Looks white though The kids and I are going to play a game this afternoon. Who can run straight away from the house for 5 minutes and then find their way back. Should be a good time!

Hi All

I just got off the phone with a friend living in northern North Dakota near the Canadian border.

He said that since early this morning the snow has been nearly waist high and is still falling.

The temperature is dropping way below zero and the north wind is increasing to near gale force.

His wife has done nothing but look through the kitchen window and just stare.

He says that if it gets much worse, he may have to let her in.

how many of you guys used to "Bump" during winter has a kid

bump or bumping would be hide at an intersection with a stop sign then jump out behind car hold on to the rear bumper and get towed/water ski;d or sometimes drug down the street.
or post a lookout a block away and wait for the alarm call 'its a lady' then rush the car from the front because women will NEVER hurt boys and always stop at which point we would cling to the sides and back of the car like woodticks on a moose and try for bragging rights of longest ride
of course MPLS police would eventually come but it didnt matter if you brought a S.W.A.T. team you will NEVER catch a kid in his own hood,,
Im glad XBOX wasnt invented during my childhood

Skeechin!! Heheh. I remember a day back in 87 up at NIU - blizzard closed down the town. Since my car was the only one we were able to get out of the larking lot I was the DD. I could fit three guys on the back bumper of my old 1979 Buick. Spent the afternoon skeeching up and down Lincoln Highway. Nobody out but us and the plows... Good times.

HAHAHA!!!
We are forcasted to get 12-18" of snow with 40mph winds, translating into up to 10' tall snow drifts. Yay..... At least I have a 2nd job plowing so I can make some extra "fun money".
