The bait was only available to a handfull of anglers this summer and the Chicago show was its first public launching. It had some impressive #s on the tournament trail with 5 top ten finishes in the pmtt and big fish/1st place in the FRV.

Posts: 233 Location: Iowa | I looked at it, didn't buy one though. Looks like pretty sweet bait and mark is pretty nice guy. From what he describes it isn't your typical back and forth glider. Probably would of bought one but I was running low on cash and I thought $26 maybe just alittle steep for a 7" glider. But on the other hand I don't throw many gliders to begin with. Jeremy

Posts: 202 | I had the chance to work with some of the prototypes last year and I have to say they are one of the best gliders I have ever seen. Not only do they have great side to side action along with some up-down action, much like the soft tailed phantom but they are also extremely easy to work. I had rookie clients throwing them with a minimal learning curve. Also the ease of use really helps when trying to fishing big wind where it can be hard to figure out what your bait is doing.

Who makes this bait it or where can you buy it? If at the Milwaukee show which booth should we look for? Thanks.

I also was fortunate enough to be able to fish a prototype of the twisted sucker last season. The lure performance was excellent and produced some very nice fish for myself and others in the boat. I loved throwing this bait, and look forward to using them again next season.

Posts: 76 | Thanks for the interest in the Twisted Sucker! This bait really is a new twist on the old glide bait. It has its own style and can be worked in different ways unlike other gliders. I have always been a glide bait freak and have 100s of them. When this bait was in its early stages we found that with a little tweaking we could get it to do things that the others did not do. The end result is a glider that can be worked well by anyone no matter what level of fishing they are at. It can also be run at deeper depths and can be worked in different styles. It is truely the most driveable glide bait ever made. The bait will be available at as many show as we can get it to. Here is a list of some of the ones we will be at. Ladysmith, Milwaukee, Ohio, MN expo and others if possible. As far as dealers we are working to get it available with some retailers but with this bait beeing hand made it takes a good amount of time to make eack one. It will be available at some shops but as of now it is not in any shops. Before the season opens we will have some available at certian shops and will let everyone know what shops they will be in. Last summer when the bait was being tested there was only a small amount available at some of the tournaments and they sold out the first day each time. This year more will be available but still in limited quanities. The shops that will carry them we will work hard to make sure we can keep up with the demand. Here is a picture of a few baits and we will have more to come. Attachments ---------------- show3.JPG (40KB - 570 downloads)

I was one of the guys who got to try this bait out long before it seen the market. Let me tell you it is easy to work and catches fish. This bait is definitely something I would give to a client long before I gave them a phantom. It is as easy as a manta to work. It has a large profile, moves a lot of water, and wobbles great as it falls on the pauses (which is key to triggering strikes when the bite is tough). Additional information is the bait can be worked deeper than most glide baits and comes is colors that will suit any body of water. If you are wondering I am not a spokes person for this company, just a guy that likes to catch fish and throw what gets bit.

Posts: 76 | Sorry for the delay in getting you a price. I thought I put it up the other day but I guess I didnt. But $26 is the correct price for each. Unless you buy 3 or more. As far as how they are different the biggest one is that they can be worked more than 1 way. They can do a great side to side with a long hover or very fast doing a side to side glide. But if you hit it a little harder the bait just dosent go side to side it will arch in the middle of the glide with a belly flash. It is a great bait to show people how to throw a glide bait because it can be worked without having to time it. Its hard to give the difference in typed words.

Posts: 133 Location: Duluth, MN | My partner and I bought several from Mark at a PMTT tournament last year in the parking lot after the rules meeting. My parnter had the chances to see several inside and wanted to buy one. It was dark out and couldn't really see the baits. I thought ok lets try them. The next tourney was the championship and the fish were going on a certain color twisted sucker pre fishing. Friday afternoon my partner put it on the bottom of tonka. Ran into Tom and Mark and they didn't have any that color................ The lure does have great side to side action and very very easy to use.
