Just got my 2011 Muskies Inc calendar in the mail today, something I look forward to seeing every year. Help me keep trach of shows, tournaments, etc.

What the heck?? Who put this thing together? Were they high?

January
February
April (What happened to March?)
April (AGAIN?)
May
June
May (not kidding)
June
August (What happened to July??)
September
October
November
December (they got the last 5 months right anyway)

Last time I checked, a calendar was supposed to have 12 months. 12 DIFFERENT months, in a row. Anybody else get theirs in this condition?

WOW! Doesn't SOMEONE look through these things before they're sent for publication? As an organization they should be embarrassed. IMO, mistakes like that really make you wonder who is running the show and their level of expertise/professionalism. That is like some of the guides' sites I see with grammatical errors every third word... they probably catch just as many fish as the next guy but... I think you know what I'm saying.

You should be thanking Muskies, Inc. You just got an extra month next year. Frankly I like April and June and am looking forward to experiencing both of those months twice next year. Apparently I will have to reschedule my LOTW trip from non-existent July to August or September.

Had to double check mine when I saw this. No issues like that on the one I got. Good for a practical joke though!

Wow! I'm pretty sure this doesn't say anything about the organization but instead sounds like a problem at the printer.

When you want to bad mouth a volunteer organiztion the first thing I'm going to ask is exactly how much time you put in to help with the calendar project.

As a printer, Calendars are a total pain in the ass to layout, print and bind. It doesn't surprise me it's out of synch.

I am not even a member of muskies inc. so it's pretty clear I had no involvement and feel free to bash me all you want. You obviously misinterpreted my comments. I am not "bad mouthing" muskies inc in any way. I don't feel the need to explain myself further as I believe my point is valid. It was more or less a general statement. You don't have to agree.

I would guess MI doesn't have someone on staff employed to staple calendars. More likely the layout is approved internally, and goes to a printer for X number of copies. I'd also suspect that MI lacks the resources to inspect each one that goes out. I'd fault the printer for this if I had to guess where the problem occurred.

Looks like EA is being treated extra special with a one of a kind calendar. I am jealous. I heard the way he drinks, he never knows what day it is - so it doesn't matter. (you know I'm messing with you EA)

Mine is correct. They put a pic of mine in the collage, it's the swimming bear. Pretty cool.

Nothing wrong with mine. All months in order. Plus the kid and I are one of the pictures for June. Very surprised and happy to see that.

Based on the page size, this was run on a press then through a booklet maker. Just some human error on the printer's part. I am sure M.I. will send you another one.

Based on the page size, this was run on a press then through a booklet maker. Just some human error on the printer's part going between the press and booklet maker. I remember 15 years ago having to goto Kinko's and work on their machines when they would make all their personalized calendars. We called Kinkos Novemeber and December "calendar season". Fun, not and they had alot of waste. I am sure M.I. will send you another one.

A similar situation happened to me a few years back. Made a call and a replacement was sent in correct order.
Just think- if it was misprinted from the US Mint - you would have a collector's item!
Hmmm...... maybe you will stick the next world record on the second "May" of the year and then you do have a collector's item!

You are correct that there are a few calendars out there that we have issues with. MI was unaware of this until someone contacted me for a replacement. It's not a matter of an error of MI it's the printer and they need to see and hear about these issues so they can track where the problem come into play and why their production control team failed to catch the errors before they went out to our members.
I am happy to replace any mis-assembled calendar with a new one, but you need to contact me for this. I'd also ask in return that I get the bad one so I can forward to the printers.
Please contact me directly at either - [email protected] or [email protected]
I will require your full name and address so I can resend.
