Posts: 64 | Has anybody caught many tigers on lotw? I would love to see some pix if you have. I lost one that was in the mid forties a couple years back, but don't seem to see them much.....

Posts: 2085 | Good question for Doug J as he has surely put several thousand fish in the boat over the years.. would be interesting to know how many tigers. I have had several hundred muskies in my boat over the years from LOTW with 0 tigers - saw a pic of a perfect 49" tiger caught last fall (amazing fish) ...obviously they are there but very low numbers IMO.

Posts: 366 | I've been fishing LOTW for 10 years, and have seen and caught 1 hybrid. It was this 44"er I caught back in 2006. Definitely the prettiest fish I've ever caught. Best of all, my wife of about three weeks netted it for me as we were up there on our honeymoon. They are in there, but certainly are a rare beast. Posts: 22 Location: Minnesota | I put a 41 in the boat in 2006 on the north side of Sab. Fish came from 90 degrees to my right, the fish didn't actually get to my lure until the lure was at the boat, and then ate on the 8.

Posts: 906 Location: Warroad, Mn | I've caught a good number of natural tigers on the LOTWs over the years. Lambeau has it right in that around 2% or so of the fish I get are tigers. I usually get two or three every year. Biggest I've had has been around the 45"-46" range, but had a client lose one at the boat a number of years ago that looked to be pushng the 50" mark. They are beautiful fish. Certain areas seem to have a higher percentage than other areas, not sure why as the northern pike population seems pretty wide spread. Here's one from a few years ago. Had a real short caudal peduncle, or it would have pushed the 4' mark. Doug Johnson Attachments ---------------- 21.5 [320x200].jpg (30KB - 159 downloads)

Posts: 123 | Here is the only one I've ever caught up there. We usually have a pretty good group of guys fish there every year and at the moment I can only think of one other Tiger caught. This little bugger actually cut my finger which accounted for the blood. PS. Forgive the "I Love Strippers" shirt as I was younger and dumber back then. Anything is possible. If worst come to worst you can print it and scan it in as a jpeg file. I know it can be converted to a jpeg without doing that, but I unable to do it.

Posts: 240 | Here is a picture of a 46 inch tiger by buddy Darcy caught while out with me a few years back. I have also put a 42 inch tiger in the boat from the same area. I know of a few others that have been caught in that area. They do seem more prevalent in some ares then others. One more thing. My boat has seen hundreds of Muskies over the years and this fish put up the best fight I have ever seen. The thing was beside itself! Three spectacular jumps and a few runs around the boat and then finally in the net. I wish I got it on video because it would rate as the best fight that I have ever seen on video.
