Hey guys, just interested to see how other guys would compare last year to this year so far? I thought this year would be better than last because we have had warmer weather and make the fish more active. This season for me hasn't been as good as last. Looking forward to september when we can get some wind and water temps fall.

I have had almost no time to fish. That changes in a couple weeks!

Since I beat my PB twice in two days, I'd have to say this season has been pretty good. Fished a lot of new water. Had a great time with great friends. Best of all it's only about half over.

A lot better than last year. I had boat problems for half the summer last year.

Pretty good so far. My numbers are way up this year, caught some nicer fish, but have yet to crack a 50". On a scale from 1-10 I'd say an 8.

Terrible. I have been really struggling. Just picking the wrong days to go I think. Some days they just won't play - no matter what you do I guess.

What Landry said - terrible.

Then again, I'd rather be lucky than good.

Well last year was all luck. This year I am finding out I'm really no good. Maybe lucky again next year.

Although, looking at my log, 75% of all my fish have been caught August-November. They just seem so much easier to catch in the fall.

hours on the water down..so fish in net down... still putting a fish in the net every 6.5 hrs on the water isn't all bad...not as good as last 2 seasons but the fish haven't been cooperating like they should be...the next month should be good if it ever cools down... ; )

At the begging of the season I was ripping it up. A fish in the boat every 2.5 hours! That changed and now I'm down to a fish every 6-7 hours (I don't have my spreadsheet accesible at work right now). I'm still wayyyyy better than my average from last year of a fish every 12 hours. Hope to bring that time down again after my trip to Canada at the end of the month.

My best year yet!!! I have been catching them on almost every type of lure and have boated more fish on topwater than anything else including a 51.5"! Of course, on the other hand I would have to say terrible during tournament hours

Pretty poor for me.

But last year was a very exceptional year....

With our warm waters, I'm not going to get out much until September. Hopefully it will turn around at that time.

June was fantastic. Seemed like the fish were pretty active right of the bat after that warm spring. Didn't get out much in July and when I did I was either getting chased off the lake by the weather or something was breaking. I've got time now, but the water's just too warm. Looking forward to some time off at the end of October and the middle of November after the PMTT crowd has cleared out and the yachts are getting put away.

Fewer fish in the boat because the water is too hot to fish in - 3 hrs the entire month of July for me and none of it locally. When I have fished I've done pretty well but come on fall. We need cooler water temps.

Not so good this year. So far I've seen a lot of fish and got a couple of big fish to hit, but nothing big in the net yet.

Just have to stay after it and keep trying. It builds character, eh?

my best year ever thanks to our trip to lotw. boated almost twice as many fish in one week compared to a years total, including a new pb at 51.25. only get about a half dozen or so trips to local indiana waters and those numbers are down.

I haven't been out fishing as much as I would like to. No fishing for about 2 weeks in mid June during my honeymoon (usually a time period I can put a few fish in the boat). Also a lot fewer long days on the water. I still have nearly as many fish now as I did all year last year. Still not exceptional, but not bad. It's been just an ok year for numbers and the size has been decent but no real big fish yet. I don't have it plotted out, but hours per fish isn't all that bad. I have been just under 4 hours per fish in the net the last two weeks.

Caught 27 so far this year with a few big fish but maybe one monster. A really good start because last year I caught 28, so this year I should beat my record for numbers. However last year was phenomenal for me for average fish size and I also caught 3 fish that were monsters(in my opinion)! If anyone knew the hours I put in to catch these I would be super embarassed! Can't wait till October!!!

My wife and I are having a pretty darn good year. Promoting the Company is always fun. The last two years we built a new shop and rebuilt an old house so I have to compare to 2006 when we caught 226 fish. This year we are on a pace to catch about 140/150 Muskies over 30 inches but we both got personal bests of 53.5 for me and 55 for Michelle. St Clair has been pretty good to us as have a couple of smaller Michigan and Indiana Lakes. Im looking forward to casting again this fall when things cool down. Right now we got 86 fish with 4 over 50" and Michelle is in first place in Muskies incs womens masters. Pretty happy about that. The only place we can fish right now is St. Clair or the big lakes up north. All trolling. I would like to get back to casting but I wont fish this hot water. Mike
