My next charity work will be to raise funds for Sponge Bob to get a digital camera....that Sponge Jr. pic almost killed me with over-brightness.

little sponge + Poppy....Not sure what I'm doing...blue still there...any ideas on how to get the color off the scanner board??? Appears the blue might be related to the ribbon thing down the middle of the inside of the scanner?

Whats up Sponge. My scanner kind of does the same thing execpt i have got a yellow line. I just take a dry washcloth and rub it over the whole screen and it is just as good as new. Mine gets yellow after every scan. I dont know why though.

Sponge, et al. are you saving it as .jpg and as 24 bit true color? Beside's, Sponge One - a digital camera gives you much better memories. - you can save them to multiple media. Here's my daughter Felicia on our last night of the four day Muskie flyin- July 2001!!! She actually had a WR Muskie follow the day before on this trip. I'm sure this photo would have been impossible with a standard 35mm camera. Invest in a digital camera- you won't regret it!!!!

????? Still BLUE!!![:(] Thanks MM, tried the cloth thing but it must be inside....
Al, I rarely take pics + when I do we use a disposable...got an Olympus but it's 10 yrs old + rarely carry the thing. Guess I should get another! Had to move this pic of Jr + I over to the side to get rid of most of the blue; guess I'll call the peeps at the scanner store + see what's up. Glad your daughter likes to fish...if little sponge was older I'd bring him up for a visit! maybe some day they will have room for a little dude/dudette section![:sun:]

Sponge- Haa, Haa! Jason Smith's "dating my daughter" rules are mild compared to mine. Plus she's has a black belt in Karate (going for her 2nd degree next month) and she teach's Karate in summer & parttime after school. She's really a great kid & has her priorities right. All the guy's in her school carry drool buckets!!! I've been on her case about being her own person since she was a little girl. Plus I told her that any boy that wants to have sex with her has to have a SIGNED permission slip from me, be wearing double raincoats and she has to be on the pill! Daaaaaaaaadddddd!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe the problem is with how you're saving the scanned photo. WHAT PROGRAM ARE YOU USING?

Same here Al...I will meet the girls that little sponge sees + will have me own set of rules; rough world out there for our kids + not apt to get much better. After soccer practice today a little girl gave him a pic. she had colored for him...now he is going to color her one from his "Fish In Va" coloring book...they are only SIX!!! Oh well, times have changed. Buddy of mine runs a martial arts school here + he is going to give Cade free lessons for a yr. if he wants to do it, so perhaps he'll give it a shot.
I'll have to ask the wife about the program thing, I got no idea about this stuff. I'll check + let you know![:sun:]

Al, the program is Ulead Photo and/or Scan wizard 5...if that helps any! I found a 1-800 # for the scanner I need to call about the blue Danube I got floating on this thing. Let me know if you are familiar w/ these programs....

Sponge- Here's one I just did on my system (HP 720 Office Jet -Printer-fax-copier-scanner & Microsoft Photo Editor)

I've never used either one of yours. But I did find their web sites-> ScanWizard5 ->http://www.microtekusa.com/faqssw.html

Ulead -> http://www.ulead.com/pi/runme.htm

When you scan a photo- Make sure the scanner is set for photo- also when you save it as a jpg. There should be a "more" button that will probably let you check the file settings etc. If there's a 24 bit true color and it's not selected try that.

Good Luck

Spongeeeeeeee! I forgot about the filtering effects of your watery environment. [:0] Does the scanned image always look this blue before it's saved? If so there may be no hope for this scanner. But it might make a great anchor!

As a matter of fact it does!!! I just got it for Christmas...maybe I can take it back if she remembers where she got it...I e-mailed the peeps at the scanner support place + still waiting to here from them...hope the sucker isn't broke; somehow I created 4 new folders that show up on the screen when you first turn the computer on....[:0]

Al, you should have never posted that pick of your daughter. You just sent esox14 and schuler into an uncontrollable hormone rage!
