MuskieTom - 6/6/2010 11:35 PM decent cow dolphn ben Thanks Tom, we fish between dives and the season is good in Cozumel now, but we could not hook up with a marlin...action from tuna, wahoo and mahi mahi...but the marlin eluded us...That female had a big bite from a shark or marlin in her belly so we kept her to eat...turned out great.

Posts: 1764 Location: Ogden, Ut | Nothing yet, but I'm extending my weekend to include most of today and part of tomorrow. Had a real nice one follow my Muskie Treat in only to turn away at boatside and make tracks toward my son's spinnerbait. Unfortunately, he saw the fish...his jaw dropped and he stopped all movement - including reeling. Oh well, I can't say that the same thing hasn't happened to me once or twice. Later, I missed one that totally inhaled that same Treat, don't really know how, but it got rid of the lure right quick. s.

Posts: 697 Location: Minnetonka | Hit the water at five with Mr. Hoyer and Nelson... what a sunrise. We had the first one by 6:30. The fish ate a Cowgirl and measured 50". Later in the day watched Brad and Dr. Dean boat one and I managed to get some action shots, including a very cool release photo. We got a 44 yesterday and saw a handful of others. Posts: 125 Location: North Saint Paul, MN | Nothing in the boat but we raised 8 fish on Saturday. Four of them came in very aggressive and four of them were kind of lazy. Had one take a swipe at boat side and completely miss the bait. Another went around on the figure 8 a couple times. Thought she was going to eat but just sunk away. Had another hit a couple cranks into the retrieve. I set the hook but didn't get any hooks into her. All in all a pretty successful day. Would have been nice to get the net slimy but we saw a bunch of fish.

Posts: 1169 Location: New Hope MN | I boated 2. a 38 and a 42. water temps were very high, but i couldn't find anything on the mainlake structure. found all the fish right where they should be at this time of year (pre-summer transition areas). I assumed these temps would've accelerated transition... i was wrong. wasted the entire first morning Highlight of the trip was a +8lbs bass follow. I thought it was a carp!

Posts: 2686 Location: Hayward, WI | I made it out twice during the week for a total of about 3 hours. Had two fish follow double 10s. My Dad came up Saturday and we were both pretty excited since I've been seeing a few fish in not much fishing time. After 9 1/2 hours of fishing, with a good share of it in the rain, our grand total for the day was one 25 incher for my Dad. Very brutal day action-wise. Tried everything we could think of and just couldn't get anything going. Joe, cool pics! curleytail

Posts: 395 Location: NW WI | Fished Flambeau and Pokegamon (Flambeau Chain in northern WI) Saturday from sunup till 2 PM. Water temps from 68.5 to 69.2. Had two follows in the AM and that was it. Fished lots of different structure and depths. Big baits and small baits....mostly natural colors. I thought the action would pick up before the rains came and the wind switched.....but it never happened. But it was a great day on the water!

Posts: 156 | Caught my 1st musky of the season, and 4th musky ever, a 28". Still learning, lost a mid-30's to not paying attention to details: too close to structure, fish charged the lure on a rip and lost all interest when I paused to take up slack and saw me right on top of it. +1 The sunrise on Saturday morning was amazing. It was somewhere between 5:20 a.m. - 5:40 a.m. and it was completely red/orange. I took these right outside my buddy's house before heading down to the launch.

Posts: 36 Location: Blaine, MN | Went to WI for the MN opener. Fished w/ a friend from work from 430 pm to 915 pm. He got a nice 42" and I got a scrappy 30". Moved 7 others. Moved fish in the rain and when it cleared up. Also, had the lake to ourselves most of the evening. That was really nice.

Posts: 999 | Shaley, judging from the markings on your fish that sure looks like an odd colored tiger, the cheek pattern carry's it so I think you have yourself a cool looking tiger! Mr Musky
