I've got an old crappie color manta that has put more fish in my boat than any other single lure. Some people will say the manta's action is too basic but it sure catches fish around here. Phantom softail second.

Posts: 96 Location: Eau Claire | Gotta go with the manta, I have one in chartreuse tiger that has hands down put more fish in my lap than any other bait I own. I do like hellhounds, and phantoms too.

Posts: 1767 Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | The smaller soft tail phantom "dances" much better in my opinion, I don't even bother with the bigger ones...Have had much better/all of my luck on the brighter colors. The orange with black and orange tail is an awesome bait on darker water, the firetiger has done me very good as well

hellhounds(sweet), phantoms(all, excellent), undertaker(least talked about, been using and loving since 1995). Picked up a new Pallbearer at R & H this spring, super nice, same unique action like the undertaker. Hats off to LMP for reproducing their wooden undertaker in polystyrene. The Pallbearer is well built and balanced without the issue's associated with wood also comes with a solid stainless steal leader.

If you want "topshelf" you can't beat Trueglides. I've caught some really big fish on those baits! The only problem is they are highly desirable and hard to get- just like a good woman ![]() Brewski

Posts: 642 Location: Richfield, MN | I have yet had the chance to fish for muskies. But through all of my research and talking to people that do I have found a couple that I will be throwing the first chance I get to hit the waters!!!! I really like the action of the Hellhounds and the Phantoms!!They seem to have some great movements. I am sure that everyone on this site has the favorites. So some day I will hit the waters then I will be able to state what I truely like to use and what works best. If anyone wants to take a newbie out this Sunday I am free to go. Just PM me and I will be ready to go.

Location: Des Moines IA | I have an "00" 8 inch shaker that moves fish when nothing else will. She's my "go to " bait. Hopefully I'll find a bunch more here soon, before she needs to be repainted!
