| Just wondering what everyone's favorite color is for a jerk/pull bait. Like for a very common bait such as a suick/smity And please don't just say black. LOL. But include black if you would like. Examples- All orange, or black and orange. If firetiger is your favorite thats fine too. I was curious to see what the most popular color is, or if there is any at all? Have a great one! | |||

| We need to get rid of the color/name "walleye" off muskie baits. The Anti's are coming out of the woodwork saying that it's obvious that the muskies are eating all the walleyes because all muskie fishermen throw "walleye" colored lures. Why don't we call them "sucker?" | |||

| Thanks for the answers guys. I was thinking of tweeking a few store bought baits color patterns. As I suspected people like different colored lures. But natural colors seem to be most popular. Example. I have a green belly suick, and I might paint the belly white now. Just to do something different, have fun, and change up an old lure. Thanks! | |||

Posts: 2361 | I fish a lot of white, chartreuse in KY and TN. I fish a lot of black, orange and chartreuse in WI. One color I don't like is anything that is green as a main color, and I no longer throw purple down south.

Posts: 4266 | I've had success with Perch and Firetiger. Firm believer that you must have contrast on the lure somewhere to make it more visible to the fish. Whether perch bars, bluegill stripes or crappie blotches, it helps hem to hide in weeds but makes them stand out in other circumstances. But you really can knock the snot out of them with all black.
